What a wonderful mother she was—my teacher, my mentor, and my biggest fan. She woke up at 4:30 a.m. without hesitation to get me ready for morning swim practice. When my mom walked into a swim meet, the entire energy of the building changed. People would glance around, wondering where she planned to sit. She was loud, proud, and unapologetic—often clearing the bleachers simply by being herself. I could always hear her voice above the crowd, cheering with everything she had:
    “MOVE IT, JOHN! MOVE IT!”

Thank you, Mom, for everything you gave me in life. You were always by my side—especially on the days I lost a race or was simply having a bad day. When we were little, she would say, “Just wait until your father gets home.” But as I grew older, she didn’t need Dad anymore—one look from her told me everything I needed to know.

    That was respect.

I will miss you deeply. Enjoy eternity with Dad, with Susie, Eddie, and with all the friends and family who welcomed you when you arrived in heaven.

Rest easy, Mom. You did good in this life.

    Forever your #1 son,
    John
