A quote from a life-long friend: “George was always optimistic and willing to assist friends and acquaintances in helping them, regardless of personal price and time. I have never known of anyone who was a greater example of these traits.” His interests were many: bridge, gardening, fishing, family vacations in Wisconsin, travel and reading. During his retirement he loved teaching driver training to students of all ages. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 276 E. Bagley Road in Berea on Saturday, September 28, at 11:00 am. Memorial may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Southwest Hospice.
