WOZNIAK, ANNA ANNA I WOZNIAK, born 9/26/1915 (nee Kohut, formerly Honecy). Wife of Leonard J.Wozniak, loving and lovely mother of Frank S. Honecy (deceased) (Barbara), Nancy A. Ringer (Morton), Patricia Honecy, dearest grandmother of Frank Honecy (friend Cathy), Mark Ringer (Christine), Jeffrey Ringer (friend Susan). Special people in her life Sandy Grattan and Mary Augustine. Parents and brothers and sisters all deceased. Aunt and friend to many. She loved her children, grandchildren and friends to the max. Ann was an avid golfer (first woman on the American Greetings Golf League), loved to bowl, loved sports, especially the Indians and Browns. She never missed listening to the Indians play ball, even up to the end. She worked for the mayor of Cleveland in the 1930's, during World War II making parts at The Weatherhead Co., Later at Lamson and Sessioms, and finally at American Greetings where she worked her way up to supervisor of her department. She volunteered at the VA Hospital and was secretary of PNA Lodge. Anna passed away on her one hundredth birthday with family by her side. Quite a remarkable and feisty woman. She will be missed. ALBU, JOHN JOHN F. ALBU, 78, passed away suddenly Sept. 7, 2015. A lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, John joined the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17 after attending Cathedral Latin High School. He honorably served his country and was proud to have served aboard the USS Forrestal (CV-59) on her maiden voyage. A hardworking man, he enjoyed a decades-long career as a licensed realtor while also working for The Plain Dealer for more than 30 years. At the same time, John went on to pursue a life's goal, put on hold to raise his family, by obtaining his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School, Cleveland State University in 1991. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1992 and spent the rest of his life in an active private practice. He enjoyed the local sports teams, fishing, and yard-scaping at home. He was an avid fan of classic movies and never grew tired of his extensive collection. John is survived by his children, John M. Albu (Amy), Carolyn D. Albu and his self-adopted daughter, Patricia G. SNEVEL SR., RICHARD Richard “Rick” A. Snevel, Sr. passed away on June 24, 2015 in Bay Village, Ohio at the age of 72. Rick is survived by his loving wife, Barb (nee Charvat) of 47 years; son Rick, Jr and wife Michelle, daughters Rebecca, Rachel Glauner and husband Dan, Roberta Mayer and husband Joseph; sister Barbara (Snevel) Wheeler, and nine grandchildren, to whom he is known as 'Grumpa'. Rick was born on March 20, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio to Wilbur J. Snevel and Geraldine (Paschal) Snevel (both deceased). Prior to his extensive battle with Parkinson's, Rick was an active and dedicated member of Lakewood Congregational Church, the Rocky River #703 Masonic Lodge and the “Big Six” Al Sirat Grotto. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday July 10, 2015 at the Bay Lodge, located at 492 Bradley Road, Bay Village. The family will greet friends and family at 2:30 pm, followed by celebration of his life by Rev. DACKA, JOZEF JOZEF DACKA, 94, passed away June 17, 2015 at Fairview Hospital following a long illness. Jozef was a forced labor POW during WWII in Germany. He brought his wife and eldest daughter to America in 1951 in search of a better life. They originally settled in Chicago. Jozef was a kind, gentle soul, and a brilliant man. He could fix, make or do anything. He instilled honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic in his children. Jozef never gave up and fought his health issues to the end. He is survived by his wife Lidia (nee Wolski), daughters Irene Kucin (Ken) of Las Vegas, Diane (Douglas Fitch) of Westlake and grandson Eric Jozef of Chicago. The family would like to thank the Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living employees at O'Neill Healthcare - North Ridgeville and the staff, nurses, and technicians at the Frecenius on Hoag in Sheffield Village for their great care.
