Joycelynn Marie Vavages, Collinwood, Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on September 27, 2024. She was born on June 21, 1968, to Austin and Hazel Vavages.
Joycelynn is survived by her daughter, Stephanie LEM Vavages, and three beautiful grandchildren, Elsie Shockey, Penny Shockey, and Anthony Shockey, her loving partner, Ernie Piotrowski, and pet companion, Kotton.
She is also survived by her sisters, Rowena Vavages and Karianne Lazor and loving nieces and nephews. Joycelynn is preceded in death by Hazel Vavages (Mother), Vaughn Vavages, (brother) and Nicole Burke, (Sister).
She loved to spend time at Chili Peppers Fresh Mexican Grill, her former employer, where she brought joy to all who knew her and took great care of the plants. Joycelynn had a passion for coloring adult coloring pages in her free time, bringing color and creativity into her life, she loved to play Uno, listen to Tupac, Biggie, N’Sync and Backstreet Boys . She enjoyed sitting on the phone for hours talking, she was always cooking and sending food to her family. Jo was able to tell the time just by looking at the position of the sun. There is nothing she loved more than acknowledging the fact that she was Native American, Tohono O’odham, Arizona
She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, warm smile, and sweet heart that touched the lives of everyone around her. Joycelynn’s spirit will forever live on in the memories of those who were lucky enough to know her.
Rest in peace, dear Joycelynn. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
