Ronald G. Deighton, age 66, passed away on December 19, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 24, 1958, Ronald was a man of great passion and resilience who loved the simple, meaningful joys of life.
Ronald is survived by his two sons, Brian Keith Deighton and Kevin Adam Deighton, who were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his brothers, William Deighton (Pat) and Kenneth Deighton (Mary). He was a beloved cousin, uncle and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Deighton; his brother Robert (Carole); and his sister Carol Marie.
Ronald had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and spent countless cherished hours hunting and fishing. His love for working on cars reflected his hands-on, hardworking nature, and he never turned down a chance to help others with their automotive projects. He also had a special bond with dogs, who brought him endless comfort and companionship throughout his life.
Ronald will be remembered for his warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family and passions. His legacy lives on through his children, loved ones, and the memories of days spent in nature and in the garage.
As per Ronald’s request, a memorial and celebration of life will be held at a later time for family and friends to attend.
I had the privilege of knowing Ron during his time as a UPS package car mechanic. Every day, he’d greet me with his signature warmth: “Hello, sweetie” followed by “How’s your day going?” Ron’s gentle demeanor, bright smile, and infectious laugh could light up even the toughest days.
Though my homemade baked goods might not have helped his health, Ron never complained. Despite the stresses of his job, he tackled every challenge with courage and determination. His love for his sons, Brian and Kevin, was evident in the way he spoke about them. Ron also cherished his hobbies – playing with his dogs, hunting, fishing, and cruising in his GTO with classic rock playing – which brought him immense joy.
Ron had a gift for turning my worst days into better ones. I always looked forward to our conversations, which inevitably left me smiling. He often spoke fondly of Brian, saying we had much in common, and hoped we’d meet someday. During his battle with cancer, I had the chance to connect with Brian, and we were honored to be by Ron’s side until the end.
Ron, I’ll always cherish the memories we made. May you watch over us and rest in heavenly peace. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy lives on through the countless lives you touched.
I love you my friend♡
Our sincere condolences to your family and all who loved him. May the good memories sustain you through the days ahead. God Bless.

Ron was responsible for one of the packages car I drove ,on a daily basis, years ago.
Of all the repairs made over the years, I want to thank you for keeping me safe on the rode. ♡
What really impressed me about Ron, was that he would personally follow up with me , to make sure there’s no issues.
Once again, so sorry for your loss . You’ll be missed
