It is with great sadness that the family of Howard H. Cornell announces his passing on January 21, 2025, at the age of 86. A longtime resident of Cleveland, Howard was a well-respected TV repairman in Fairview Park, Ohio, where he spent most of his career earning the trust and friendship of countless customers.

Howard was a proud father to five children: Catherine (deceased), Howard Jr. (deceased), Steven, Wendy, and Lisa. He was also a devoted grandfather to eight grandchildren: Matthew, Megan, Brian, Jillian, Patrick, Jessica, Austin, and Kristin. His love for family was boundless, and he cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his family, Howard found joy in bowling and golfing, especially during the years he spent with his beloved wife, Carol, who passed away in 2005. He especially enjoyed the nine years he spent living in Florida, where he was close to his sister-in-law Judie and formed lasting friendships with his Floridian neighbors.

Known for his lively spirit, Howard was always the life of the party, often found with a Pabst in one hand and a cigarette in the other, his infectious laughter filling the room.

Howard passed quietly with his three remaining children by his side, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication to family, and a life lived fully.

A private graveside service will be held for family only.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of choice in Howard’s memory.

    Steve, Wendy and Lisa,
My heart breaks for you over the loss of your father. Your mom and dad were a large part of my life growing up. I loved listening to them laugh and tell their stories. I will never forget them sending you love, hugs and prayers during this difficult time.

I will miss Howard dearly. Westport was a family that transitioned on even though it was taken down. I have fond memories of him and my dad many years after Westport was no longer a road. To Wendy, Steve and Lisa…I am so sorry for your loss.

Very sad to hear of Mr Cs death. He was the best ever. I spent two summers in Cleveland and I totally enjoyed my time spent with him playing golf, pool in his basement and sitting on his porch having a beer or two. A true gentleman. RIP.
