Raymond Valentine Gunderman, 46, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away suddenly on May 23, 2026. Ray owned and successfully operated his own garage‑door and home‑remodeling business for over 20 years, providing for his family through tireless efforts.
He had many passions, including working on cars with his son Ray and trying adventurous meals with both of his boys. He was known for his joy for life—echoing in his loud laughter—and for his big heart in caring for his family. His love for family and friends knew no bounds. He was very intelligent and known for “his knowledge of all things.” He loved boating with the family and was always depended upon by friends and family for his wise counsel and his remarkable ability to fix anything.
Ray is survived by his longtime devoted companion, Katie Barkley; his children, Raymond Jr. and Brayden; his stepchildren, Alexis Payne, Deandrea Barkley, and Cianna Barkley; and his two grandchildren.
He was the brother of Pamela Champion and Robert Graninger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Gunderman and Marie Maslanka.
Ray will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved him.
Friends received 4-6pm, Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the Zabor Funeral Home, 5680 Pearl Rd. Parma OH 44129
