Patricia L Hennings (Patti), 83 of Parma Heights passed away on June 27, 2025. She is survived by her loving children, Bobby Hennings (Tracy) and Tammy Smith. She was a proud grandmother of Kyle Ratliff (Erica), Cody Ratliff (Mariah), Dylan Smith, Ian and Logan Hennings and blessed with two beautiful, great grandchildren, Braxton and Lucas. Her family was her greatest treasure and she poured her heart into every moment she shared with them. Patti had a deep love for animals. She leaves behind her beloved fur kitty, “Silly Lilly.” She loved to travel and visit with friends. She was known for her appreciation of finer things like art, shopping, and especially a good glass of wine shared in the company of those she loved and even better when near the ocean! Patti lived with a quiet strength and a heart full of love. She will be missed by her family and friends and fondly remembered for the life she lived. Visitation will be held at 2 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3 PM on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Christ Church, 23080 Royalton Rd., Columbia Station, OH 44028. In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations in her memory to a local animal rescue or shelter.
I am saddened to learn of Patti’s passing. I remember he fondly as a tireless advocate for animals. Her contributions to the animal welfare profession were many and I was among the many she mentored in my early years in the field.
We will miss you immensely
I have so many fond memories of Patti. She was such a mentor for me. I really enjoyed are many walks & talks when we both lived in Lakewood. She will truly be missed but not forgotten.
I was so saddened to hear today about Patti’s passing😢 I’ve met Patti at the most challenging period of my life 15 years ago. Oh, I’m taking back by what I’m reading there’s so many beautiful memories of Patti. When I worked at the APL she was there helping me grow up. She worked so hard and make me a lady. It was a serious job. She had it took a while, but it all kicked in. I hear her voice all the time And is very very tough right now to write Tammy. I love you and I will try my best to get there to hug you Patti meant the world to me.
I have fond memories of your mother, Tammy – she is so kind and always has a smile on her face 🩷
Rip pat
I remember Patti, she was so supportive, offering advice and encouragement to a new CEO in animal welfare.
I’m heartbroken to hear this news. We have been friends for 35 + years and have so many memories. My condolences to the entire family.
Tammy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I was so sad to hear about Patti’s passing. I met her many years ago while shopping at Chico’s, and we just clicked. I followed along, wherever Patti was working, and it was more than shopping, it was visiting with a friend. She spoke about her children, grandchildren, and their various adventures. She was worried about the young man in the military, and was always so pleased when she got word from him. She made a point to ask about my family as well, each time I’d stop into the store. She will be missed by all of her clients, because she treated us like life-long friends. We shared the same first name, and we’d always start with “Hi Patti!” And we’d both have a chuckle. She was a woman of elegance and grace, may she rest in peace.
Sending my deepest sympathy.
The Other Patty
I was so very deeply saddened when I heard Patti had passed away. I met Patti in 2019 at Chico’s Legacy Village, after I transferred there from NJ. Patti was an immediate bright light and we became friends! We laughed and always had fun at work and afterwork for wine! She was truly a beautiful person and good friend. My heart goes to her family and friends. I know that she is Dancing in the Sky with our Lord. Sending love and prayers …
