Linda “Lyn” Sue Hudson

February 21, 1960 – November 7, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda “Lyn” Sue Hudson, age 64, who left us peacefully on November 7, 2024. Born on February 21, 1960, in Logan, West Virginia, Lyn was a beloved member of her community and family, touching countless lives with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.

Lyn was the devoted and cherished wife of Mitchell Hudson, who stood by her side in all seasons of life. She was a proud and loving mother to Ronda and Jon (Santasiia), and a caring stepmother to Corrinne (James) and Nicklaus. Her family was her world, and her heart overflowed with joy in her roles as grandmother to Alexis (Cory), Kayden, Lindsey, Rae’lynn, Eva, Norrah, and Elliott, and great-grandmother to Maverick, Colter, and Zayden.

Preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Caperton, and her father, Ephraim Watts, Lyn was a steadfast sister to Delmas (Eugenia), Dallas (Denise), Lamisa, Laura (John), and Rosezetta (John/deceased). She held her siblings close to her heart and treasured their bond deeply.

A woman of many talents and passions, Lyn found joy in cooking and exploring new recipes, often sharing her culinary creations with those around her. She loved gardening, finding peace and satisfaction in nurturing her plants, and delighted in crafting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her love for the world. Lyn’s greatest devotion, however, was to her faith. A devout follower of Christ, she loved Christ with all her heart and was a source of spiritual encouragement to everyone who knew her.

Lyn’s memory will live on through the lives she touched, the family she cherished, and the faith that guided her journey. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered.

John 11:25-26: “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”
