Our beloved mother Concetta has passed away peacefully on March 19th. Beloved wife of the late Jack O’Brien, our mom joins him in heaven with her late family as well – Connie was the beloved daughter of Mary and Nick Zingale, daughter-in-law of Mary and Michael O’Brien Sr., and sister-in-law of Sumie and Tom O’Brien.
Born April 30, 1935, Connie was an only child but was very close with her family in Milwaukee – her beloved Aunt Rose Santoro, her cousins Rosie, Carmela, Babe, Nick, Jack, and everyone’s favorite Caroline, who were like sisters and brothers to her. With them she shared endless love and respect. There were few things she loved more than spending time in Milwaukee – enjoying spaghetti dinners with the Santoro family at Jackson Park on Sundays, running the South Pine Avenue Grocery store, and later just visiting with family, making wonderful memories.
Her beloved children – Michael P. O’Brien (Kathy) and Cindy M. O’Brien Green (Dennis) will continue without her presence, but will keep her in our hearts and minds forever. From her two children, Connie was blessed with five grandchildren – Michael O’Brien (Erin), Nicholas Green (Koli), Jacqueline Green Hetrick, Robyn Green Franzinger (John), and Donald Green – and seven great grandchildren – Alexander, Abby, and Ava O’Brien, Gunnar and Finnegan Hetrick, Jack Franzinger, and Jiya Green.
We will be forever grateful to everyone who helped care for Connie throughout her life, especially as she grew older and returned to the Lord. She loved her church, St. Bridget of Kildare Parish, and her pastor, Fr. Rob Wisniewski. We also want to acknowledge the incredible care she received from the Cleveland Clinic, Marymount Hospital, Brentwood Healthcare Center, and Luminary Hospice.
Over many years, she touched the heart of so many extended family members, neighbors, and friends and we thank them for being such a special part of our mom’s life.

My wish is for God’s peace to settle in your hearts & to lean on His strength as your family/loved ones navigate this difficult time.
I smile and celebrate Connie’s beautiful life she made with her husband, beginning with 2 children to 7 great grandchildren, & still growing.
So great to have gotten to know Connie & her close & supportive family through the years.
What a treasure Concetta was! I feel blessed to have her as my second mom most of my life, she always made me feel like part of the family. I know Cindy and Michael will miss her dearly, but hoping you find great comfort in your many memories and knowing she felt loved and cared for until the end
