DONALD O. SCHNEIDER, age 89, died peacefully on January 4, 2014, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Sauer); loving father of Sherry Ascher, Sandy Hess (Walter), Sue, Debbie Zitello (Rick) and Jeff. Dear grandfather of Christopher Ascher, Terry and Steven Hess, Lori and Ashley Moran, and Lauren and Rick Zitello; great-grandfather of 6. Brother of Roberta Merchant and the late Carol Kennedy. Member of Dover Masonic Lodge No. 0489. A memorial service will be held at Dover Congregational UCC, 2239 Dover Center Road, Westlake on January 18 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001 or to Dover Congregational UCC.
