Barbara Tompkins

Age 78, passed away July 24th. She had been living in Strongsville, OH at Southwest Commons, her assisted living home.

Daughter of Catherine and Eric Tompkins (deceased) Dear Sister to Paula, Robert, and Erica. Loving Aunt to Robin, Tim , Pam, Josh, Justin and Katie. Great and Great, great Aunt to many.

Barbara was born in England during WWII, and moved with the family when she was 8 yrs to Canada, and again in her teens, to Cleveland. Barb graduated from John Marshall High School. She then went on to Dyke College, where she received her BS in accounting. During her working career, a few of the companies she worked for were
Sherwin-Williams, Medic Drug and Fairmount Temple.

Barbara was an avid gardener, loved to read books, traveled back to England several times to see relatives, and to take daily walks with her beloved dog Chloe in the Garfield Hts. Metropark. She had a passion to get books and school supplies into the hands of children in need, which she donated countlessly over the years to organizations such as Providence house.

A memorial celebration will be held with family, in the month of August.
