With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Yanda, a remarkable woman whose love, courage, and unwavering spirit touched everyone she knew. Elizabeth left this world after a long and valiant battle with cancer, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family.
Elizabeth was the devoted mother of Kristen Chambers (née Yanda) of Sheffield Village and cherished mother-in-law to Victor Chambers. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Kyle Yanda, who held a special place in her heart. She was the daughter of the late Etta (née Johnston) and Kenneth Yanda, whom she honored throughout her life with her kindness and dedication.
Elizabeth was a beloved sister to Arthur Ackerman (wife, PetaAnne) of New Hampshire, the late Harold Ackerman (wife, Elaine) of Avon Lake, the late Ronald Snyder (wife, Janice) of Willoughby, Kenneth Yanda (wife, Pamela) of West Virginia, Jeanette Yanda of Tennessee, and Evelynne Conrad of Columbus. She was a cherished friend to Kathy Guzik of Cleveland, and her friendship and support brought comfort to many.
A proud aunt and great-aunt, Elizabeth held close her extended family, including Michelle and Greg Ackerman of Parma, Michelle and Scott Covell of Avon Lake, and Grant and Katharina Blasco of Pataskala, who surrounded her with love and comfort during her final days.
Elizabeth’s life was a shining example of resilience, compassion, and love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Elizabeth’s memory.
The world is a better place because she was in it, and her presence will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
So sorry for the loss of your beautiful, mother, sister and friend. She will be missed
Sending condolences and prayers to you and your family. I worked with Beth at UH in OB/GYN. She was my girl. 😥😇
