Madelyn J. Trembath age 94 passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Irene Puetz Lewis, mother (deceased) Vincent Lewis, father(deceased), Richard Trembath, husband (deceased), Lynn Ellen Trembath, daughter (deceased) and Frank Lewis, brother (deceased).

Madelyn is survived by her brother Alan Lewis and her daughter Susan Trembath and son Peter Trembath.

Madelyn was an absolutely loving and dedicated mom. She attended Briar Cliff University (1948-1950) and graduated from Iowa State Teachers College. She was integral to the early years of Holy Spirit Catholic Church editing the parish bulletin for many years, and serving as president of the Ladies Guild. She was very active in Young Spirits and started The Food Bank and the Sharing Tree. She also served as president of the Lorain Regional Chapter of the National Council of Catholic Women.

One of her more daunting tasks was acting as her husband’s coach for the blind golf league! And… she could jitterbug!

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation and mass for Madelyn at Holy Spirit Church, 410 Lear Rd. Avon Lake, OH 44012 at 11:00am May 29th, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:30am until 11:00am. Location is the chapel not the main church.

Interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery 32789 Detroit Rd., Avon, OH 44011 will be private.
