Ray Elliott Hollowell, Jr, was born April 22, 1944 and went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2026 in Ames Hospice House near Cleveland, Ohio with his daughters by his side. Born to Elizabeth Blanchard Hollowell and Ray Elliott Hollowell, Sr. in Camden, North Carolina, Ray attended Camden County High School and the University of North Carolina in Charlotte with a degree in business. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he began his career as a real estate developer. He eventually made his way to Manteo, North Carolina with his family, as he was drawn to the beautiful landscape and opportunity. He predeceased his mother, who passed away two weeks exactly after he died. His father, Ray Elliott Hollowell, Sr., died in 1970, when Ray was 26. Ray’s brother, Patrick Alexander Hollowell (wife Nuris), passed away August 25, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. Ray is survived by his loving partner of 13 years, Linda Selby, his two step sons, Bryan Patrick Butler, Brandon Nathaniel Butler, two daughters, Morgan Elizabeth Vuyovich (Brent Vuyovich) and Logan Margaret Hollowell (fiancé Adam Waldman) and the mother of his children, Donna Hollowell.
