Richard Arthur Auer, age 71 passed away September 11, 2019, after a brief but courageous battle with Cancer. Born December 7, 1947, parents Arthur and Jean Auer (née Frank) both deceased. Brother to Donna Szabo (Geoffrey). Loving uncle to John (Amy), Raymond, and David. Companion to Lorraine his faithful Dog. Proud US Air Force Veteran and Lifetime member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 AFL-CIO. Thank you to all his wonderful and compassionate nurses and doctors at the Veterans Hospital, the Veterans Home (Sandusky) and University Hospital as we do not know what we would have done without you. Burial to be the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Ritman, Ohio. He will be deeply missed, by his family and friends, and Lorraine.
