Graley, Crystal

On Thursday October 5th, 2023, Crystal Graley passed away in the loving arms of her husband Phillip. She is survived by her father Dennis Tippie, sister Kelly Vrooman, and nephew Logan Hendrocks. She is also survived by father-and-mother-in-law David and Mary Graley, sisters-in-law Alicia Graley and Adrienne Rozar (Jalen Rozar). Nieces Hannah and Eliana and nephew Dominic. She is preceded in death by her beautiful daughter Cora Ann Flemming (18), and her mother Colleen Tippie, and beloved dogs Skyler and Baxter. Crystal was an amazing person with a kind heart and a beautiful soul. Her passion in life was caring for all animals big and small. If there was an animal in need she was always there to help. She would bring home stray and injured animals and do her best to bring them back to health. She would never give up on them even if she knew they were beyond saving. She also had a passion for gardening. In her final spring she started all her vegetables from seeds. She constructed a greenhouse for her plants, and she was able to watch them grow. Englander, Scott

Scott (Skip) A. Englander, a lifelong Clevelander, and die-hard Browns fan known for shouting “catch the ball!” has passed away at sixty-eight years old on October 7, 2023 due to cancer. He passed peacefully in his home, cared for by his children and daughter-in-law. Skip attended and played football for Brush High School and Ohio Wesleyan University. He was a high school football coach at his Alma Mater, and he worked alongside his father, a WWII Veteran in the 101st Airborne, David Englander, to run their family business, Englander Hardwood Lumber. In retirement, he drove students at Case Western Reserve University who were injured and needed help getting to and from their classes. He was a family man, and his greatest pride was in raising his three children. He poured all of his love for athletics, coaching, and storytelling into his kids, and they benefited greatly from his humor, support, and encouragement. He taught his children to believe in themselves, to stand up for what they believe in, and that not just Sunday but everyday is for watching football. Mich, Margaret

Margaret (Marge) Mich (93) died quietly at her home on September 18 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley S. and son Michael (S) and her parents Louis and Mary Deyak as well as her siblings, Louis (Rhoda) Deyak, William Deyak, Mary (Stanley) Pechaver, Amelia (Robert) Liptak, Edward (Patricia) Deyak, Elizabeth (Andrew) Randorf, and Veronica (James) Zupancich. Margaret is survived by her sister Helen (Frank) Koschak and fifteen nieces and nephews and who mourn her loss. Marge was born in Ely, MN and moved to Cleveland with two sisters. Here she married, raised a son and lived the remainder of her life. She enjoyed visiting her family in Northern MN and joining family gatherings at their lake cabins. She relied on the kindness of friendly neighbors and her nephews that assisted her and looked out for her. She was loved and will be missed by many.

Stanley D. Spence, Sr, 66, of Cleveland, Ohio was born February 27, 1957 to his parents, the late Enoch and Sandra L. (nee Simmons) Spence. Stanley passed away on September 21, 2023 after a brief illness. He was a headstrong, independent, sassy, and a wonderful son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. We will miss him dearly. Stanley will be remembered as a great friend to family and friends, always keeping in touch and willing to help. He never knew a stranger. Robert "Bert" Thomas Long, 59, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on September 22, 2023. He was born on October 16, 1963, in Wadsworth. Bert will be remembered as a great friend to family and friends, always keeping in touch and willing to help. He never knew a stranger. Bert is survived by his wife Denise Long (Bischoff) son,Thomas J Long, brothers, Mike Long, and Dave (Vicky) Long, sister Debby Heaston, aunt, Eileen Randall; in-laws mother, Donna Bischoff, sisters Jean Rowe, and Laura Hunt. best friend, Matt Bauer; best buddy, Ray Taylor; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas E Long; mother, Carmelle Smyth; brothers, Willy Long and Bryan Long; and brother-in-law, Dave Heaston. Bert served in the Navy Sea Bee Reserve's from 1984 to 1992. He was proud of his military associations. Mona J. Ryser, 94, passed away on Thursday, September 21st. She was preceded in death by her son, Eric. She was an accomplished artist who worked in advertising. Her last place of employment was May Company in downtown Cleveland. She also worked at Higbees. She did commissioned portraits of people, pets, and houses. She was a much loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by daughter Daun (Charles) Coffey, daughter-in-law Judy Ryser, grandchildren Audrey Ryser, Jason and Adam Fellows, great-grandaughter Kindle Fellows. There will be a celebration of her life at a later time for friends and family.

THOMAS, KEITH

Keith Edward Thomas, 63, of Lakewood, Ohio was born on September 4, 1959, son of Millie Thomas-Dobbins and George Thomas. Keith is father to son Nathaniel, daughter Ivory, brother to Kim Kutnyak (Bruce), uncle to Joe Kutnyak and Sandra Kutnyak. He leaves behind loving friend and partner in dreams and "Blue Sky", Marti Raia. Keith had an incredible knowledge and passion for cars, especially his 1964 GTO. He loved working on cars and would spend hours troubleshooting until he found a solution. In addition to his love of cars, Keith was also sergeant of the security department at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History which was a position he took great pride in and for which he held great respect. After leaving his position at the museum, he continued to pursue his passion for cars by becoming the owner and operator of a wrecking yard, a dream of his for many years. Whether a business owner, a leader at work, or in his personal life, he showed kindness to all. You will be dearly missed, Keith. May you be forever held in God's loving arms.
