PALMENTERA, CAROLINE

CAROLINE PALMENTERA (60) born on October 13, 1962 passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023. Caroline was the loving mother of Harley and beloved daughter of the late Paul and Julia. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Paul, Dolores, Joseph, Ross, and Anthony. She is survived by her son and siblings Rose, Sarah, Theresa, Paula, and Anna. She was a cherished sister-in-law, cousin, aunt, great-aunt, and friend of many. Caroline was a woman of strong faith who prayed frequently for many. She loved listening to music, spending time around animals, and long conversations reminiscing with loved ones. She could be found at every family event, camera in hand, capturing memories of the moments she cherished. Her laugh was contagious and she often brought joy to those around her. She will be missed dearly and remembered for all of the love she shared with her friends and family. Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 15th, 2023 at Saint Michael Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Cleveland, Ohio.

PARKER, JON

Born on December 18th, 1959 passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023. Son of Arline Taylor (deceased) step son of Mark Taylor (deceased). Cherished father of Angelica Hammond (deceased), Stephanie Parker and Brittany Parker. Dear husband of 42 years to Barbara Parker. Grandfather of three. Brother to Robert Parker (Shellie), Cathy Kaselak (Edward), Tony Parker, Janet Wojtala (Don), Joseph Parker. Uncle and friend to many. He loved his family, flea markets, garage sales and motorcycles. If he wasn’t doing one of those things he loved to gamble. He was the best Macgyver. If he couldn’t fix it nobody could. Jon spent many years helping people, working hard and fishing on the lake. His infectious smile, sense of humor and ability to make you laugh will be cherished forever. A celebration of life will be held at the Lantern Center for Recovery (12160 Triskett road, Cleveland, oh 44111). August 5th at 1pm followed by refreshments. Rudi Louis Crebel, age 63, passed away peacefully on June 28th, 2023. Beloved son of the late Augusto and Onelia Crebel. Dearest brother to Grazia Adams (nee Crebel) and loving uncle to Matthew Adams (Charlotte) and great uncle of Brendan and Stephen Adams. A dear friend of many. Rudi dedicated his life to aviation where he traveled the country, owned his own plane and spent his career as an aviation mechanic for multiple airlines, mostly notably NorthWest Airlines in Detroit. He loved his two late Alaskan Malamutes, Nanook and Jessie. Private services only, Holy Cross Cemetery.

Flowers, trees, sparkling lakes, and four-leaf clovers called to Mimi. She always answered – handing a walking partner a four-leaf clover or laying her hands on the tree’s trunk encouraging it to “stay strong.” Mimi loved her Father’s world and shared that love with those lucky enough to walk with her. Perhaps she welcomed you into her home and you found yourself surrounded by skeins of yarn, glass paper weights, and signs of love on walls and mirrors. Or perhaps she served you a fresh salad made from her garden vegetables or a wonderful plate of her Vietnamese egg rolls or her homemade whole grain bread with homemade jam. Maybe she sent you a card with just a warm hello or a word of encouragement, or called you when you were in the midst of a personal crisis to say “You’ve been on my mind lately. Joshua Vincent Karsten Jirgens (42) born November 19,1980, passed away June 27, 2023. Beloved son of Vincent C. (Deceased) and Suzy (nee Zehnder). Loving brother of Zachary (Meaghan), fun uncle of Logan and brand new baby Katrina, best friend of Maggie O'Linn. Will be greatly missed by many friends and scads of family. Josh attended Dennison University receiving a BA in Philosophy and History. He then joined the US Army serving 2 tours in Iraq. He received an MBA from Penn State. Josh was always a well dressed man. He was an avid reader and a huge Ohio State football fan. Josh was very competitive and sometimes controversial when playing any type of game. Sometimes changing the rules half way through. He loved Booths Tavern trivia night and knew all his state capitals. He loved every dog he ever met or watched a video of. He always looked forward to spending time with family and friends, including the annual Easter hike. Spending time with Logan was always a highlight for him. Donald Lee Morris (86) born on June 18, 1937, passed away on June 19th, 2023 surrounded by his children in Parma Heights, Ohio. Donald, fondly known as Donnie, was born to Frankie and Clyde Morris in Whitesville, WV. He was the eldest of 9 children. Donnie served his country in the US Airforce and later became a retired truck driver. He loved traveling and vacationing with his family. He was the true meaning of a family man. His loving nature will truly be missed. He is preceded in death by his wife Zola Morris. Together they had 4 children. Donald (Christine), late Danny, Richard, and Debra (Jim). He is survived by 11 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. His burial will take place on July 21st, 2023, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife at Raynes Family Cemetery in Ameagle, WV.

CHAMBERS, ROBERT

Robert William (Sonny) Chambers (1930 – 2023) passed away on June 14, 2023 at the age of 92. Son of Stewart and Ada Chambers. Beloved husband of Barbara; father of Katherine (Martin), and Christine (Mark); Brother of deceased Stewart, Barbara, Roger, and Kathy. Brother of Garnet, Jerry, Alice, and Linda. Grandfather to Steven, Daniel, Scott, Aidan, and Caleb. Great-grandfather to Jackson and Isabelle. Bob grew up in Canonsburg, PA and served during the Korean conflict. In younger years he was a boxer and won two Golden Gloves championships. He enjoyed bowling, and at one time rolled a perfect 300 game. He was very passionate about the game of golf. So much so that he once played an entire season with his arm in a cast earning him a trophy for “Best one-armed golfer”. Some of his additional hobbies included painting, driving his Vintage Lincoln Continental in many local parades, and he was a life-long Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Robert was also a devoted owner of many dogs, cats and even a rabbit. Robert did not want a funeral. Per his wishes, he was cremated, and he is resting at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

Luis Angel Romero Vargas, age 68 passed on June 13, 2023 at Crestmont North in Cleveland Ohio due to dementia. He was a Vietnam Vet and a Clevelander at heart. He was born in Tiquisate Guatemala to Ana Marie Vargas De Romero (deceased) and Alberto Romero Ayala (deceased) on July 18 1954. He is survived by Children Michael and Elizabeth Zimmerman; grandchildren Alexia and Kayden; Sisters Clara Luz, and Ana Bela; Niece/Nephews Ronald, Leonardo (deceased), Michael and Alejandra.
