Molchan, Mary
Mary M. Molchan (nee Mariotti) 93, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on June 3, 2024, after suffering a sudden stroke a few days before. Mary wed Albert P. Molchan in 1950 and shared 55 years together before his passing. She was the loving mother of Diane, John (Shawn), Jeffery (Mary), James and the late Caryl (Wells) Albro and doting grandmother of Alexander, Kathryn, Jacqueline, and Michael Molchan. Mary graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1949, a time that she always fondly remembered. While her primary focus was raising her young family, Mary also worked outside the home in order to provide for a Catholic education for each of her children. Starting at Stouffer’s on Shaker Square, Mary became the long time Banquet Manager at Lander Haven County Club later followed by positions at prominent event locations like the Hilton Cleveland South and Airport Marriott. Following their retirement, Mary and Al did a little traveling but enjoyed spending their winters at their condominium in Arizona and treasure hunting at garage sales or adding to her collection of depression glass.
