Thomas J. Hannan “Wiz,” age 70, of Cleveland, OH, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Beloved father of Devon; son of the late Thomas and Marion Hannan; brother of Jane Murphy (Tom), Ed Hannan (Karen), and the late Kay Bazelides (Joe); dear uncle and Godfather to many. Known reverently for his lifelong friendships and love of baseball, music, and writing, he, above all, was most proud of being a dad—and he was the best one there ever was. A storyteller at heart, his life was filled to the brim with experiences one can only dream of, and his belly roared with laughter each time he told the tales of his rowdy, incredible friends. After graduating from Saint Edward High School (Class of 1972), he went on to pursue a degree in film at Xavier University, later working as an optician and salesman for his own business, Hannan Design & Specialties in Geneva, OH.

Tom’s life was defined by kindness, reliability, and fatherhood. He will be missed by all and loved for longer than forever.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Brendan Parish, 4242 Brendan Lane, North Olmstead, on Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 a.m.
