JONES, JANE

JANE FEICK JONES, 79, of Cleveland Heights, died suddenly May 20, 2013 at Judson Park after a short illness. She was born in Sandusky, Ohio. Daughter of the late Evangeline (nee Kugel) and Richard Feick. Beloved wife of the late Mario C. Jones, loving mother of Karin (Patrick) of Cleveland Heights, Justin (Marianne) and the late Brian, dear grandmother of Kyle of Austin, Texas. Jane was a talented artist, musician and gardener. She graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Fine Arts and began her career as a graphic artist, creating ads for Higbee, Halle and May Co. She was an active member of the Western Reserve Herb Society for 23 years and spent hundreds of hours at the Cleveland Botanical Garden helping maintain the "Herb Knot" and was famous for her pressed flower cards and candles that were sold at the Herb Fair every fall. Her love of learning led her to join Senior Scholars at CWRU, and her desire to keep fit led her to the water aerobics class at Judson Park, where the "Water Babes" became her second family for 15 years. Jane is described by a close friend: "She was an artist in every way, in every corner of her life. Not just on paper, but in her relationships, her cooking, her love of life". A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Please contact the family for details
