Anton (John) Michelich, 95, passed away March 25, 2026.

He was born January 2, 1931, in Dover (Westlake) OH, and was married June 8, 1953 to Ruth MacDonald. They built a house on a section of the Michelich Family farm located on Detroit Rd Westlake and made it their home while raising their 4 children, Scott, Ronald, Gregg, and Jay. In 1981 they moved to their residence on Clark Parkway.

John Michelich is survived by his three children, Scott (Kathleen) Michelich of Morrow Ohio, Gregg (Vanessa) Michelich of Columbia Station Ohio, and Jay (Debra) Michelich of Westlake Ohio. His wife, Ruth, preceded him in death on June 15, 2021, and his son, Ronald, preceded him in death in September 1987.

He is survived by five grandchildren, James (Nicole) Michelich of Naples Florida, Alan (Laura) Michelich of Seattle Washington, Andrew (Lauren) Michelich of Chicago Illinois, Connor Michelich of Idaho Falls Idaho, and Ashley Michelich of El Paso Texas. His granddaughter, Apphia, preceded him in death December 2006.

He is survived by four Great Grandchildren, Triston and Colton Michelich of Naples Florida, and Millie and Miles of Seatle Washington. John graduated from Dover (Westlake) High school in 1949. John and Ruth were active members in their community. In 1971, they received the civic honor of being named “Mr. and Mrs. Westlake” – awarded by the city of Westlake, Ohio, recognizing the couple for significant community involvement and service.
