Mario Pinjuh, 61, of Lakewood Ohio passed away January 7, 2024. He was born February 6, 1962, in Euclid, Ohio to Siglinde and Marijan Pinjuh.

He attended Euclid High School and Ohio State University. He was a lifelong fan of the Buckeyes along with the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians. He spent years watching Guardians games and keeping score.

He held positions in athletic departments including Lake Catholic and Mentor high schools. One of his proudest moments was on the staff as an assistant coach at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School when the Girls Basketball team won a State Championship in 1999.

Mario is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his cousins Stella Mismas (Eric Girod), Joseph Pinjuh (Lori) and Lucija Radujkovic (Dragan), his aunt Myra Pinjuh and his aunt and uncle Carol and Joe Pinjuh.

Family and friends are invited to Malloy – Esposito, 1575 W 117th St, Cleveland, OH 44107 from 3pm-5pm on Thursday January 11, 2024, to reminisce and honor the life of Mario.

    Just found out about this loss. You were a wonderful person, Mario. Selfless in every sense of the word. I was lucky enough to be a Viking when you were dedicating so much of your time to the teams at VASJ. I remember the times shared with you very fondly and appreciate all of your service to our school.
