William Jeffrey Sheehan, born December 23, 1957, passed away in his home in Cleveland, OH on June 6, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merceda and Jack Sheehan. He is survived by his siblings, Loree and Greg Sheehan, his daughter, Amanda Helali, and his partner, Mary Beth Herrington.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Jeff developed a love of learning from a young age. After becoming valedictorian of his high school, West Tech, he went on to study economics at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, graduating in 1979. There he met his first wife, Helen, and they moved to Florida where he opened a solar panel business and later an insurance company. They had one daughter, Amanda. Jeff eventually moved back to Cleveland to attend law school and was a practicing lawyer the rest of his life. Jeff never shied away from a debate and could converse for hours on any number of subjects. The only thing he loved more than knowledge was his family.
Just became part of our family over the years. We grew very close our love for music and swimming and intelligent conversations. I will miss we both look so forward to summer and being able to go swimming and sit outside and enjoy this pool and the warm weather and music. Miss you my friend love you, Jeff. I hope you’re happy up there and now you have Roxy to keep your company till we meet again fly high.
