In Loving Memory of Catherine Skillicorn-Pankhurst
January 16, 1955 to July 14, 2026
Catherine was a beloved wife, mother, Nana, artist and friend. Her strength, compassion and love left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She faced life’s challenges with remarkable courage and determination, fighting with great strength against every obstacle. Even as her body grew weaker, her spirit remained resilient, inspiring those around her with grace, perseverance and unwavering love for her family. Catherine had a deep appreciation for nature. She loved animals, the outdoors, and found joy in caring for many pets. As an artist, she expressed herself with creativity and originality. Above all, Catherine cherished her family. Her 47 year partnership with her loving husband Geoffrey was one of deep devotion and enduring love. She was immensely proud of her children: Amoreena, Seth and wife Sandy, Julia and her beloved granddaughter Sylvia. She was happiest in her home at Rock Court where she was surrounded by nature, art and family. We will remember her generous heart, quiet strength and genuine compassion. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience and treasured memories.
I was very sad to hear that Catherine passed away.
Please tell her family, Geoff, Amoreena and Julia that she was always a gentle, kind hearted, ironically humorous stoic inspiration to me.
We had many wry and insightful conversations over nearly 50 years.
May their fond and happy memories of her sustain them now and in the years to come give them the same strength and grace that Catherine always shared generously with the world.

I will always remember that wild red hair and your infectious laugh. I enjoyed our phone chats laughing over stories of your granddaughters latest antics, Geoffrey learning to stilt walk or what the chickens were doing on Rock Court.
