EDWARD PAUL SMETANKA, age 92, died peacefully on September 1, 2013. Born to George and Barbara (nee Bunca). Beloved husband of the late Bernice (nee Mueller). Father to Gregory, Karen (Brubaker), Paul and Theresa (Frank). Youngest brother to the late Steven, Mary (Uhely), Juila (Urbanek), George, Ann (Olle), Florence, Cecelia (Berilla), Joseph, Rose (Bednar), Emily (Lenhart). Uncle to many. Grandfather to Jill, Brett, Dawn, Steven, Daniel, Keith and Craig. World War II Veteran of the US Army Air Corps. Served bravely in Europe from 1942 to 1945. Services will remain private at family’s request. Internment later at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
