Lynda Marie Thompson, age 74, passed away on January 6, 2026, in North Royalton, Ohio.
Lynda was born on May 23, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, to Lois Louis (née Bellore) [Lois Morris] and Melvin Louis. She was raised in Garden City, Michigan, where she spent her childhood and formative years.
She graduated from Garden City High School and soon after moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where she became a devoted caregiver and nanny to the children of NFL quarterback Earl Morrall. Caring for others came naturally to Lynda and remained a defining part of her life. She later returned to Michigan, where she worked for Chrysler.
Lynda was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Brian (Elizabeth), of whom she was immensely proud. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren—Alexander, Samuel, and Grant—who brought her great joy. One of her proudest personal accomplishments was maintaining over 20 years of sobriety, a testament to her strength, perseverance, and determination.
She is survived by her mother, Lois, and her siblings Beth, Bill, Cheryl, and Joanne. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin; her stepfather, Billy; and her siblings Ellen and Randy.
Lynda enjoyed golfing, bowling, cross-stitching, listening to Motown music, and going for drives—often simply for the joy of being on the road. One of her favorite memories, and a source of great pride, was achieving a hole-in-one while golfing.
In her later years, Lynda returned to her faith, finding comfort and guidance in her spirituality. She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her quiet strength, and the compassion and care she showed to others throughout her life.

Loved your Mom Brian, will certainly miss her presence at our family gatherings. Her memory will live on in each of us. Sending our love to all mourning Lynda’s journey forward, ahead of us.
Love, Audra, Len, Ben, Dylan Gordon
