Linda Sue Maar

1951 – 2025

On Sunday, September 7, 2025, our beloved Linda Sue Maar, age 74, left this world peacefully at home, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Linda’s life was defined by unconditional love, fierce devotion, and a strength that carried all of us through.

A Message from Her Children

Dear Mom,

Did you ever know that you’re our hero? These words are not just lyrics, but the truth of our lives. Your love was the embrace that kept us safe, your wisdom the compass that showed us the way. You were not only our mother, but the very heartbeat of our family—the source of warmth, joy, and light in our days. Thank you for being the woman who shaped our world and gave us everything. Thank you, thank you. Thank God for you—the wind beneath our wings.

Linda’s love reached far and wide. She was welcomed in heaven by her son, Victor (1983–2016), her parents Margaret and Joseph, her brothers Joseph, Ronald, and Robert, her brother-in-law Albin, and her niece Emilie.

Here on earth, her memory will be cherished by her children Malinda (Mark), Wendy, and Eva; her grandchildren Nicole, Rebecca, Gavin, Olivia, Margaret, and Stella; her great-grandson Emileo; her sister Gloria; her niece Gloria and nephew John; her lifelong friend Victor, who walked beside her through so much of life; and many other dear family members and friends who will forever miss her smile, her humor, and her boundless heart.

A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at a later date. Please reach out to family for details.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Linda’s memory to Everytown for Gun Safety—a cause close to her heart
