BIAS, KERMIT

Kermit Bias Jr. passed away at 7:37 AM on October 17th, 2022. He fought a long, hard battle with heart disease. Beating the odds and outliving so many predictions and diagnoses until meeting his unexpected end. Kermit is survived by Angela, his wife of 18 years as well as his children Chelsea, Christian, Elaina and Michael. Those who knew him loved him deeply, especially his family. He had just turned 58 years old in July. Kermit was a true blue Harley man, he loved to ride. He treated his Harley like a bestfriend. Taking countless trips far and wide with his two youngest children. We knew that this day would come but we did not know it was going to be so soon. Kermit was a devoted father, loving partner and a true friend. He leaves behind his wife and four children, as well as a variety of friends and extended family. Donald E. Scheeff (Donny) age 59 married to Kimberly (Lambert) Scheeff, Born on May 26, 1963 in Cleveland Ohio passed away peacefully after a long and grueling battle with cancer in his home in Brook Park, OH surrounded by his loved ones. Donny was the loving son of Dennis G Scheeff (deceased) and Sharon (Hein) Scheeff. Donny is father to Steven Scheeff, Cynthia Scheeff and Kassandra Powers (Jimmy). He was papa to Makenna, Peyton, Harper and Conor Lasker, Connor Powers and Jayden Lyons. He was a loving brother to Dennis Scheeff and Dionne (Bob) MacDonald and uncle to Helen and DJ Scheeff and Zack and Dayna MacDonald. He was preceded in death by his father, his first wife Barbara (Mohney) Scheeff, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Donny loved all styles of music but especially by artists Frank Zappa and Todd Rudgren. He loved camping and the outdoors, motorcycles and just adventures in general. Although Dremae Susie Zimmer passed away on the 12th of October, her soul will continue living on through her family and friends. Susie was a caring and lovable woman who, throughout her lifetime, devoted herself to her faith and the people around her. Born in 1968 to a large family in Cleveland, she had a childlike innocence about her. She would always seem to look at the brighter things in life and never said a bad word about anyone. She remained a faithful Christian for her entire life, and made a family out of her church group. She married Alfred Zimmer in 1996. Preceded in death by her parents Kyle and Katherine Hale. Brother Herman Hale. Survived by Husband Alfred Zimmer and her dog Scooby. Brothers and Sister, Basil (Betty) Ghee, James (Donna) Hale, Robert (Vicki) Hale, Robin (Bob) Hale-Saunders. Freda French, 64, passed away suddenly on October 12th, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Virginia French, and her sister, Tammy Blankenship. She is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Curran(Chris Shackleton), and her loving grandson Christopher, as well as her sister Debra French, and her brothers Daniel French and Robert Zemerick. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a beloved friend to many. WICKLIFFE, OH - Dominic A. (Donnie) Massucci passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Born September 8th, 1949 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the Son of the late Dominic and Lena Massucci (Bassignana). Dominic graduated from Saint John High School in 1968. He served in the United States Army after high school and was stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana and Heidelberg, Germany during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. After returning, he attended Kent State University and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He then owned & operated Massucci Memorial Chapel in Ashtabula where he took great pride in serving families in their time of need. Sports played in integral part of life for Dominic. Baseball was his passion including coaching all of his children and watching on TV. He enjoyed watching the Yankees and the Indians as well as Lebron James wherever he played basketball. Brother, uncle and friend Paul Russel Moore, age 83, of Cleveland, Ohio, died on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 1, 1939, in Wooster, Ohio. He was the second son and third child born to William Paul and Alma Pearl (nee Dabney) Moore. He was preceded in death by both parents, his sister Wilma (Winston) King and brother William (Barbara) Moore, both of Wooster, nephew Shawn Moore, of Wooster, and his long-term companion John Sweetnich, of Cleveland. In addition, his two rescue dogs Freda and Free preceded him in death. Dorothy May Cogar, age 86, of Cleveland, Ohio passed away peacefully at home after a recent diagnosis of cancer. Dorothy was born in Delta, Ohio on May 31, 1936. She was the fifth daughter of the late Estel Harvey and Blanch May (nee Balser) Beaverson. Dorothy graduated from Delta High School in 1954. She was the Queen’s Attendant for her first three years of high school and Homecoming Queen her senior year. She was named Queen Miss Delta in 1954, as well. She was involved in several school activities including cheerleading, starring roles in school plays and played a variety of sports. She was very popular and well-liked. After graduation, Dorothy traveled and explored different career options: beauty school in Toledo, Ohio, airline stewardess training in Omaha, Nebraska and waitressing in Florida. Following her brief time in Florida, she came home and got a job waitressing at the Toledo Airport Restaurant & Coffee Shop where she met the love of her life. (Nee: Nemetz) 1926 – 2022 Lorna Bernadette Craig, age 96, passed away with her family by her side, on September 29, 2022, at her home in Brook Park Ohio. Lorna was born in Cleveland, Ohio to John G. and Marie Nemetz [nee Salobecke] on July 11, 1926. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children, three grandchildren, their spouses and numerous extended family members and friends.
