Born on the 4th of July her bright and colorful personality brought joy into our world. Maddie was always independent, fierce, confident and unapologetically her. Through her short life she faced many trials including nearly dying at birth, a kidney transplant, mental health struggles and her last and final battle with a rare and aggressive cancer (Hepatosplenic TCell Lymphoma). Through it all and with God’s help she kept fighting, kept going and always took each day in stride. Vivian Carole Krcek (née Burgy), age 78, of Lakewood, Ohio passed away on March 5, 2025. A native of Lakewood, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Holder and Robert Burgy. Stepdaughter of the late Ruth Burgy. Mother to Taylor Eastin Krcek (Nathaniel) Evans. Sister to Cynthia Dianne Niskala. Sister-in-law to Ralph Niskala. Aunt to Aaron and Trevor Niskala. Grandmother to Anna and Clara Evans. She was preceded in death by her niece, Melissa Corcoran Niskala. Vivian was a former employee of Oatey Corporation and retired from Eaton Corporation. She was an avid reader and voraciously consumed anything about World War II or arctic exploration. Vivian loved a cup of black coffee and the outdoors. She was a friend to all animals and children. You could often find her walking in the Cleveland Metroparks or perusing the Lakewood Public Library. Vivian was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and neighbor. She navigated the world with patience, kindness, and deep compassion. Ronald "Ron" Holmes Jr., devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, and friend, passed away on February 27, 2025 at 50 years old. He is survived by his wife Nancy, his children (Joshua, Courtland, Ronald the 3rd, Dustin, Austin, Dallas, Brady, and Savannah), his three grandchildren, his father Ronald Sr., his siblings (Allen Parsons, Nathaniel Parsons, Angela (Fannin) Walker, and Sheila Ann Chevinak), and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Patsy (Lockwood) Holmes and brother Robert Holmes. Private services to be held.

Betty Cordelia Farley of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025. Born in Lansing, Michigan, to Virginia and Minard Farley, Betty graduated from Principia College with a degree in Fine Arts and from the Cleveland State University College of Law. She had a general practice as an attorney for thirty-five years, concentrating in family law. Her other interests included international travel, genealogy, gardening, and serving her church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 9 years, Robert K.F. Mann, and survived by her first husband, Dan Sadowsky, her siblings, Carolyn Pederson, Michael Farley, Catherine Crossman, and Grace Farley, and her stepchildren, George and Margaret Mann. A memorial service will be held at the Beachclub Bistro, 21939 Lakeshore Blvd., Cleveland, Ohio on March 15 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Mary Ann Corso. Born July 3, 1934, Mary grew up in Cleveland and Lakewood, Ohio, as the only daughter of Mary and Michael Papcum (both deceased), along with seven brothers. Mary was the 5th born of the 8 children, and the last surviving sibling. Mary graduated from West High School in Cleveland in 1952. She worked as a telephone operator right out of high school, and had various office jobs after that. Mary married Joe Corso (deceased, 2016) in May, 1964, and they had three children – Karen, Joe Jr. and Jennifer. Mary worked as a real estate agent for about 25 years, delaying her retirement until after she helped all three of her children buy their first homes. Mary was an avid gardener, making sure that flowers she took from her mother’s garden in Lakewood were transplanted to each of her homes in Bay Village and Rocky River. She enjoyed garden shops and plant sales, taking her granddaughters to the Botanical Gardens, and was happiest when digging in her garden or planting and re-planting flowers in her patio containers. Deborah Ann Mitzo, beloved Wife, Mother, Nana, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 21, at 69 years old. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 2, 1955 in Cleveland Ohio, Debbie was the daughter of James and Agnes Coleman. She was the oldest of 7 siblings: Sharon, Linda, Terri, James, Pamela, and Stacey. She married Donald on June 11, 1983, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories. Together they raised 3 children: Ryan, Christopher, and Ashley, who will forever be greatful for her love and support. Debbie had a devotion for her family. She was proud of her children and had a profound love for her grandchildren: Jackson, Jacob, Joseph, and Sadie. Throughout her life, Debbie was a sourse of unwavering love, strength, and guidence to her family and friends. Martin "Marty" Kohler, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Marty dedicated 35 years working for the Illuminating Company. His strong work ethic was a testament to the values instilled in him by his mother, Lillian, whom he adored. A lifelong Clevelander, Marty was a passionate fan of the Guardians, cheering and cursing them every season. He was the biggest fan of the UCONN women's basketball team, culminating in his attendance at the NCAA Women's Final Four semi-finals in 2024. Golf was a central part of Marty's life. He shot countless rounds on the course, playing three days a week at Bob-O-Link until recent years. Marty's greatest joy, however, was his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Lillian, and his siblings, three sisters and one brother. He shared 72 (!) wonderful years with the love of his life, Phyllis (nee Clark). Maureen “Moe” Collier Moe Collier age 81 passed away on February 24, 2025 after a short illness. She is survived by her daughter Tina Roberts and son Tim Collier (Natalie). Grandchildren, Justin, Billy, Danielle (Tyler), Michaela (Shane), Andrew, Alex and Maya and 3 great grandchildren. A caring sister and loving aunt of many nieces and nephews, cousins and friend to many. Moe loved spending time at her lake house on Catawba Island with friends and family.
