May 13, 1933 – July 6, 2025 Bobby Dean Gore, 92, of Willowick, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 6, 2025. Born May 13, 1933 in Hewett, West Virginia, he attended Scott High School and was a dedicated veteran who honorably served in the United States Army. Bobby spent his career as a respected foreman at Lindsay Wire and faithfully served as the church bus director for Aspinwall Church. He was deeply devoted to his faith, family, and community. A passionate collector, Bobby found joy in coins, comic books, and trading cards. His enthusiasm for these hobbies brought him countless hours of happiness and sparked connections with others throughout his life. Daniel Owen Crosier, 69 of Cleveland, Ohio passed away on June 30, 2025. He is survived by his loving children, Angie Walden (Jon) and Joy Pitman (Jacob). He was grandfather to seven beautiful children: Leah Walden, Jaylin Walden, Mya Walden, Carolina Pitman, Mckenzie Pitman, Jaden Pitman, and Ana Pitman. He leaves behind eight siblings and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother (Mary) and father (James), one sister (Mary Margaret), and his twin brother (David). Daniel was known by many loving friends and family as Uncle Danny, Danielson, Grandpa Dan, and Old Man Dan. He enjoyed helping others, including serving in food pantries in Akron, Ohio and Cleveland, Ohio prior to his illness. Patricia L Hennings (Patti), 83 of Parma Heights passed away on June 27, 2025. She is survived by her loving children, Bobby Hennings (Tracy) and Tammy Smith. She was a proud grandmother of Kyle Ratliff (Erica), Cody Ratliff (Mariah), Dylan Smith, Ian and Logan Hennings and blessed with two beautiful, great grandchildren, Braxton and Lucas. Her family was her greatest treasure and she poured her heart into every moment she shared with them. Patti had a deep love for animals. She leaves behind her beloved fur kitty, “Silly Lilly.” She loved to travel and visit with friends. Ellen Skinner, age 96, born July 19, 1928, passed away at home on June 18, 2025. Having lived in Westlake since 1938, Ellen worked for United Airlines as a ticket agent until her retirement. She lived a full life enjoying many long-term friendships,attending numerous theater events including plays, musicals and concerts. She is best known for her love and support of The Cleveland Orchestra and her passion for reading. There will be a private service and burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Westlake. Steven David Caskey (b. Sept. 17, 1964) passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, after a short cancer diagnosis surrounded by his adoring children. Steve has joined his fathers, James Crist and Dr. James W. Caskey. He is survived by his beloved mother, Sharon Caskey; siblings Darci Mack (Edward) and Michael (Michelle); many nieces and nephews; friends from all over; and most importantly, his favorite children, Devon, Aidan, Delaney, and Gabrielle. While being a father, son, brother and friend, Steve was always reading, listening to college radio, charcoal grilling, bicycling or simply enjoying the day on his front porch. Ever in the pursuit of knowledge, Steve was gifted with the ability to talk about anything with anyone and often did so over hot coffee or a cold beer. With his departure, we are now all too aware of what Steve’s favorite author meant when J.R.R. Tolkien wrote, “And though in all lands, love is now mingled with grief, [that love] still grows, perhaps, the greater.” A celebration of life will be announced at a later date to friends and family.

James was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Adams (née Isabell) and brother Robert J Adams. Douglas Charles Buell, 67, of Northfield, went home to be with the Lord June 8th, 2025. Proceeded in death by his mother, Vilma M. Buell (Nee Lenese) and father, Douglas Baker Buell. He is survived by his sisters Shirley Crowe (Nee Buell) and Carol (Gene) Brian; children Stephanie, Aimee (Marty), Jennifer (David), and Douglas (Jennifer); grandchildren Anna, Jeremy, Claudia, Mason, Victoria, Gavin and Logan. Doug was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, taking trips on his Harley whenever he could. He had many accomplishments in his life including 10 years driving with Greyhound, and numerous mechanic jobs. He was always willing to help someone. Active in AA for 19 years, his story helped countless others seek their own paths. While he had many things he loved in life, nothing meant more to him than his children and grandchildren, and his husky, Lady. Keeping with Doug’s giving spirit, his remains will be donated to Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) so memorial services will be announced at a later date. Barbara E. Kayler Whitcomb, age 106, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, at Western Reserve Hospice House in Westlake, Ohio. Born on August 9, 1918 in Alliance, Ohio, she was the daughter of Samuel Earl and Edith Lenore (Mather) Kayler. Barbara graduated from Alliance High School and attended Kent State University. Barbara was married to Merle H. “Mert” Whitcomb for 58 years until his passing in 2000. She is survived by her children: Bob (Maria) Whitcomb of Santa Clarita, CA; Janice (Ken) Dunn of North Olmsted, OH; and Sandy McDaniel of Indianapolis, IN. Grandchildren include Mindi Dunn Bub, Kristen (Jonathon) Bowen, Geoff Dunn, Adam (Jocelyn) Whitcomb, and Cory (Autumn) Dunn.
