Sadly, on June 11, 2026, an angel got her wings. Linda Avonda Rees (née Tucker) went to be with the Lord at the age of 74. Linda was born on January 28, 1952, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Earnest Tucker and Ruby Ellen Tucker (Lackey). She grew up surrounded by mountains and farms, and loved the simple country life. Linda was the beloved wife of William Benjamin Rees, Jr., with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Together, they raised three children: Mary Rees, William Rees, and Jenna Rees. She was the proud grandmother of Lola Mize (Justice), Zack Rees, Skyler Bitner, and Logan Bitner, and the great-grandmother of Robert Rees, son of Zack Rees. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were blessed by her love and kindness. Susan K. Peters age 84 (nee Hostelley) passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026. She was proceeded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Jim Peters. Born to the late Jack & Rita Hostelley, Susan was a cherished daughter & sister, predeceased by her brother David & survived by her sister in law Margaret, her brother Ronald (Sue). Ray Elliott Hollowell, Jr, was born April 22, 1944 and went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2026 in Ames Hospice House near Cleveland, Ohio with his daughters by his side. Born to Elizabeth Blanchard Hollowell and Ray Elliott Hollowell, Sr. in Camden, North Carolina, Ray attended Camden County High School and the University of North Carolina in Charlotte with a degree in business. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he began his career as a real estate developer. He eventually made his way to Manteo, North Carolina with his family, as he was drawn to the beautiful landscape and opportunity. He predeceased his mother, who passed away two weeks exactly after he died. His father, Ray Elliott Hollowell, Sr., died in 1970, when Ray was 26. William J (John) Edwards was born on April 7, 1949 in NYC and passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026 at St Augustine Manor, Cleveland Ohio, under the hospice care of Holy Family Hospice after a history of poor health and cancer. Loving son of June C Banar(Heckman-Edwards), fond brother to Suzanne Renwald (Daniel), Charles G.S. (Harriet), Douglas Phillip (deceased), stepbrother to Douglas Banar (Sath), uncle and great uncle. Preceded in death by his mother, father, Charles J.S., stepfather Rudolph S. Banar, youngest brother Douglas, and nephew Douglas J.C. Edwards  Will was a proud and direct descendant of Richard Warren of the 1620 Mayflower and of Col Benjamin Church, the first Army Ranger. He was also a descendant of the early 1600 Dutch settlers of NYC-New Jersey areas. His pioneer and later families served in the various armed forces and helped to secure and then continued to keep America's freedom secure throughout the years of our nation. Will served in Vietnam with the army. Will attended Columbia Station local schools and graduated from Berea High School. He will be buried in Columbia Station with other family members. Raymond Valentine Gunderman, 46, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away suddenly on May 23, 2026. Ray owned and successfully operated his own garage‑door and home‑remodeling business for over 20 years, providing for his family through tireless efforts. He had many passions, including working on cars with his son Ray and trying adventurous meals with both of his boys. She was the beloved daughter of Irene Puetz Lewis, mother (deceased) Vincent Lewis, father(deceased), Richard Trembath, husband (deceased), Lynn Ellen Trembath, daughter (deceased) and Frank Lewis, brother (deceased).
