Frank Gliha, 77, of Lakewood, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on April 2nd, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Landshut, Germany, on November 6th, 1947, Frank immigrated to the United States at a young age, where his family settled in Cleveland, Ohio. After attending Cleveland South High School, he worked as a welder building ships, including repairs on the Steamship Mather for American Ship Building. He retired after 28 years as a Professional Wastewater Treatment Operator and was known and respected by his family, friends and co-workers for his work ethic, self-sacrifice, and kindness to all. From an early age, Frank embraced a supportive role for his siblings. This trait continued throughout his life as he took pride in ensuring his family was well-fed, secure, and never lacked for anything. Frank was a Golden Glove boxer, award-winningdarter, and a skilled pool player, having run a Colorado Springs pool hall with his brother, David. He loved fishing, cooking, westerns, and raising his children and grandchildren.
