It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Thomas Crompton, 36, of Cleveland, Ohio announces his passing as a result of an automobile accident on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Joe, ever the animal lover, had his beloved pup Penny by his side. Joe will lovingly be remembered by parents Shirley Simon and Scott Crompton (Christine), brother Jason Crompton, sister Stephanie Hrnchar (Johnny), step-siblings Ashlee Edmonds (Joe), and Julie Zizelman (Kyle) and as the fun-loving uncle Joe Joe to nieces Olivia Lynn and Ava Grace. Left to carry on his memory are his many aunts and uncles: Ruth Lynch, Rich and Kathy Simon, George and Christine Simon, Cindy and Jeff Neal, Debbie and Tom Fattlar, Bill and Sue Crompton, Mark and Kate Crompton and Dave and Barb Crompton. Gerald C. Varnadoe, 91, of Avon, passed away on November 21st surrounded by loved ones. Gerald is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley. He is survived by son David Varnadoe, daughter Susan Hupp (Lee), and son Daniel Varnadoe (Virna), grandchildren Ryan Touma, Anna Hupp, Alyssa Hupp, Brandon Varnadoe, and great-grandchild Andrew Touma. Jennifer Rose Branch, 41, passed away suddenly at home on October 31, 2022. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Mark Rodes (2015), four grandparents, and a baby brother, Matthew. Jennifer is survived by her mother, Suzee Branch; siblings - Fred, Antonio and Eileen Branch, Tabatha and Jeffrey Rodes, and Amber Polacek; children - Frankie, Alex, Aaron, Jeremiah and Jaynie; and three nieces, four nephews and two granddaughters. Through the years, Jennifer helped countless other struggling alcoholics/addicts who will now live in her honor. Alma Maria Perez "Elmo" 56, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Monday October 31, 2022 surrounded by her loving family and friends at the Cleveland Cardiology Clinic. She was born to Jesse and Mary Jane (Flores) Perez Jr. at St. Vincent's Hospital on September 3, 1966 in Toledo, Ohio. Alma was a 1984 graduate of Perrysburg High School and briefly attended BGSU. She was preceded in death by her father Jesse Perez Jr., sister Nelda M. (Michael) Ormsby, Grand Parents Jesus & Delia (Esparza) Perez Sr. and Jose & Concepcion (Ramos) Flores. Alma is survived by her Mother, Mary Jane Perez, children Nathaniel K. Perez, LaTisha M. Williams and Charles E. Williams III. Grandsons Charles E. Williams IV and Noah I. Williams. Christine Margaret Santa, age 65, residing in Strongsville, OH, passed away on Monday, October 17th, 2022. Christine was born on November 25th, 1956, and grew up in Parma Heights, OH. She graduated from Valley Forge High School in 1974. After high school, she had a job as an assistant librarian at Jones Day Law Firm, where she worked for 45 years until she retired. She had her first son when she was 30, and had twin sons when she was 36. She was a selfless parent that always put her family before herself. She had a full life, and enjoyed going for walks, cooking, reading, music (especially the Blues & Rock & Roll), travel, gardening, astrology, numerology, and Christianity. Chris was strong in her faith. And she enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns football games. She is survived by her two sisters, three sons, one niece, four nephews, and one grandson. Lora June Litos (nee Lake) Age 73, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2022. She was born to the late Carl L. Lake, Sr. and Elizabeth L. Riedel in Cleveland, Ohio on July 27, 1949. Beloved wife of the late Bill; loving mother to Pedro Lake (Xaymara), Richard Lake, and Anthony Lake (Michelle); dear sister of John, Michael, Terrance, and Richard (all deceased), and Carl, Jr. She was a caring Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, and friend to many. Lora worked hard to raise her family and did the most with what God had given her. She was always there for her family and friends, through the good times and bad. She often did without so that her family and friends could have what they needed. Lora possessed an indomitable spirit that helped propel her through life’s challenges.
