WOLFER, MARGARET E. MARGARET E. WOLFER (nee Koncz), born July 2, 1924, died Sunday, February 24, 2013. Beloved daughter of the late Catherine and Frank; precious sister of Frank; loving wife of the late Stephen and the late Donald L. Kamps, devoted mother to Kathryn Snorteland (Bill), Bonnie Kamps, Daniel (Maryjane) and Bonnie Wolfer Twitchell (John), adored grandmother and great-grandmother and sweet, trusted friend to many dear ones. Artist and schoolteacher in Parma Public Schools for many years. Private interment. Memorial Mass, Monday, March 11, 2013 at 9:30 a.m., Saint Bartholomew Church, Middleburg Heights. JOHNSTON, RAYMOND J. RAYMOND J. JOHNSTON, 94, passed away February 17, 2013. Devoted husband of Katherine (nee Clymer), son of the late George and Nellie (nee Cruckshank), brother of Margaret Johnston and the late Fred Johnston, dear uncle and special friend of Chuck Hendricks and the Guys at The Coffee Club. Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air forces during WWII. He was a Technical Sergeant in 873rd Bomb Squadron. His love for flying and the freedom he experienced while in the air continued throughout his life. Private services will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. KRUCZEK, JAMES A. James A Kruczek, age 74 of Strongsville, passed away on February 22, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Marie, and his sister Verna Andexler (the late George). He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra (nee Elek), and his beloved sister Andrea Campbell (James), nieces Vicki Mottelier (Terry), Debbi Wilsey (Matt), Melissa Bolte (Randy), and Kimberly Hoffman (Bob) and nephews John R Palmer, Jeffrey (Rebecca) and Joseph Campbell (Cynthia), and many great nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law Joyce Johnson and brother-in-law Dale Elek (Patricia) shall also miss his smiling face and presence. Jim graduated from Cathedral Latin High School in Cleveland, and was employed for 33 years with General Motors Company until illness forced his retirement. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed HO trains and was a skilled aquarist. He will be missed by many, but he is now at rest with his Lord. Service will be private according to his wishes. {rscomments on}

BOKOCH, PETER PETER BOKOCH of Parma, Ohio, passed away on February 13, 2013. He was born on March 27, 1926 in Masontown, Pennsylvania to the late John and Anna (nee Telepanoch). He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gregory, John, Charles and Stephen. He also was brother to Michael of Erie, PA and his little sister, Ellen Szerensci (David), who he called “Pishpot.” On January 27, 1968 he married his bride Helen Bokoch (nee Pragacy), who was his wife for 45 years. He was loving father to his only daughter, Wendy, father-in-law to Douglas and grandfather to Dylan, David, Damion and Desarey, who he loved as his very own. He was a loving uncle to 12 nieces and nephews and friend to many of all ages. A memorial will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 23 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4765 State Road, Cleveland 44109. APPLEGATE, LOIS MAE LOIS MAE APPLEGATE, 84, passed away peacefully with her partner, Lanna Rodgers, by her side on Monday, February 4, 2013 at their home in Westlake, Ohio. She is the sister of the late Don (Shirley) and aunt of Deborah Houston (Dave), Scott, Brian (Kathleen) and Steven (Teresa). Lois graduated with a degree in Business from Ohio Wesleyan College. She retired in 1986 from a career in banking and continued to work for political and activist causes. Lois considered herself a “club woman” and was very active in the Cleveland Business and Professional Women’s Club, City Club, College Club of Cleveland and many, many more. She has always been an advocate for women in politics and invested in many community, professional and political organizations. She believed in giving back to her community and was a charter member of Women’s Space which opened the first shelter for homeless women and children in the 1980’s.
