Age 61, born on December 29, 1962 and passed away on August 28th 2024. Beloved husband of Nancy for 39 years. Loving father of Megan Combs. Son of Allen (deceased) and Patricia. Dear brother of Doug (Joanne) and Michelle Skutt (Joe). Leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Ron was a loving husband and father. Ron loved date night with Nancy on Saturday nights out by the bonfire, cooking hotdogs and listening to some good music. Ron had a heart of gold and would check on neighbors and friends when he thought they needed someone. He will be missed by many. Celebration of Life to honor Ron will be held on Sweetest Day, October 19th from 12-4 at Old River Tap & Social at 19245 Detroit Rd. Rocky River OH 44116.

Marilyn McKay Horning was born June 30, 1933 in Cleveland. She died peacefully on August 23, 2024 at O’Neill Healthcare facility where she received wonderful care. Beloved wife of Edward Horning and devoted Mother to Susan and William. Dear sister, grandmother and aunt. Frances Jones of Bedford Hts, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024, into God's welcoming embrace. Born March 7, 1949, in Cleveland, OH, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Sue Ella Walton. She was a devoted mother and will be deeply missed by her only son James-Clinton (Keyona) and two granddaughters Aurora, and Mariah-London. Beloved sister to the late James Walton, Fanny Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was a devoted mother to her church and served as a nurse in her church. She had the gift of knowledge and gift-giving. Frances was passionate about the Lord and serving. She was the go-to person if you needed anything, she would be happy to help.

Depenbrok, Edwin

Edwin Ernst Depenbrok of Olmsted Township, age 79, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024. Born April 1, 1945 in Cleveland, OH, he was the beloved son of both the late Ernst and Mary Depenbrok. He was a devoted father and will be deeply missed by his two sons Greg (Colleen) and Eric (Michelle) Depenbrok; four grandchildren Kara, Mary, Rachel and Lauren; beloved brother of Glenice Foglia. Edwin was a passionate and dedicated Cleveland Browns fan who was a season ticket holder and never missed a game. Beyond his love of Cleveland sports, Edwin was a Deacon for his church, served in the U.S. Army Reserve for six years and enjoyed classic cars. Family and friends will gather for a mass and a celebration of life at St. John Lutheran Church (11333 Granger Rd.) in Garfield Heights, OH on Saturday, August 24 at 10 a.m. A burial service will follow afterwards at St. John Cemetery.

Janice Ruth Schoch (nee Walker), age 94, passed peacefully from this world, into God’s welcoming embrace. She is now reunited with her dear husband, Kenneth (passed 7/23/2013). She was lovingly cared for by her family, friends, neighbors, church (Prince of Peace Lutheran, Westlake) and staff of Village of the Falls, (Olmsted Falls) and Wellspring Hospice. Jan maintained her faith and a positive outlook on life as she navigated the changes in her health and abilities. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. The Honorable Jack B. Streepy passed away on July 30, 2024 due to complications from Alzheimers. He was born in Rockford, Illinois on February 27th, 1939 to Freeland Brown Streepy(deceased) and Viola Mae Wright(deceased). He is survived by a son, Matthew, from his marriage to Rebecca(Beckett) Daniel and by four daughters, Joey(Rich), Anne(Dan), Cathy, and Rie, and son, Steve, from his marriage to Carla O’Day. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Caden, Carly, Gabbi, Riley, Gen, Jack, Logan, Trevor, and Madison, and by his sister Jean and her children: Terri, Tracy and Todd. Hannan, Thomas

Thomas J. Hannan “Wiz,” age 70, of Cleveland, OH, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Beloved father of Devon; son of the late Thomas and Marion Hannan; brother of Jane Murphy (Tom), Ed Hannan (Karen), and the late Kay Bazelides (Joe); dear uncle and Godfather to many. Known reverently for his lifelong friendships and love of baseball, music, and writing, he, above all, was most proud of being a dad—and he was the best one there ever was. A storyteller at heart, his life was filled to the brim with experiences one can only dream of, and his belly roared with laughter each time he told the tales of his rowdy, incredible friends. After graduating from Saint Edward High School (Class of 1972), he went on to pursue a degree in film at Xavier University, later working as an optician and salesman for his own business, Hannan Design & Specialties in Geneva, OH. Tom’s life was defined by kindness, reliability, and fatherhood. He will be missed by all and loved for longer than forever. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Brendan Parish, 4242 Brendan Lane, North Olmstead, on Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 a.m.

Lawrence S Gornik, known to all as Larry, passed away at his home on July 17, 2024 in Cleveland, OH. Larry was born on December 10, 1952 to Leonard J Gornik (deceased) and Olga Gornik (nee Poje) (deceased). Brother to Leonard F Gornik (deceased) and Kathy Gornik; Uncle to Erik, Heather, Natasha, Deborah, Christopher, Aimee and Ryan; great uncle to 11. Larry was kind, loving, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a huge Cleveland sports fan and generous in every way. Larry will be missed by many in the Cleveland community. Burial will be private, memorial service at a future date.
