Pinjuh, Mario

Mario Pinjuh, 61, of Lakewood Ohio passed away January 7, 2024. He was born February 6, 1962, in Euclid, Ohio to Siglinde and Marijan Pinjuh.He attended Euclid High School and Ohio State University. He was a lifelong fan of the Buckeyes along with the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians. He spent years watching Guardians games and keeping score.He held positions in athletic departments including Lake Catholic and Mentor high schools. One of his proudest moments was on the staff as an assistant coach at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School when the Girls Basketball team won a State Championship in 1999.Mario is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his cousins Stella Mismas (Eric Girod), Joseph Pinjuh (Lori) and Lucija Radujkovic (Dragan), his aunt Myra Pinjuh and his aunt and uncle Carol and Joe Pinjuh.Family and friends are invited to Malloy – Esposito, 1575 W 117th St, Cleveland, OH 44107 from 3pm-5pm on Thursday January 11, 2024, to reminisce and honor the life of Mario.In Lieu of Flowers, please consider a donation “In memory of Mario Pinjuh” to Jewish Family Service Association, 29125 Chagrin Blvd. Pepper Pike, Ohio 44122.

Mowery, Jackie

Jackie Mowery, 76 of Lorain was called home Thursday Dec 21, 2023 at Berea Alzheimer’s Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was born June 5, 1947 in PortsSmith, Ohio then lived the remainder of his life in Lorain, Ohio. He worked at Precision and Dudick where he did water blasting while traveling across the United States. His last place of employment was Vocational Guidance Services in Elyria, Ohio. Jack enjoyed fishing with his wife Rose, loved his scratch off tickets, talking to his brother Dennis on the phone, and spending time with family especially his great granddaughter Avi’anna and great grandson Jack. Survivors include Son;James, Daughters Laura,Shirley and Kimberly. Stepson, Paul and Stepdaughter Michelle. He has 9 grandchildren. He has 5 living siblings; Dennis, Sue, Angie, Kathy and Phyllis. Sister in laws Nancy and Patricia. Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 33yrs Rose (Deering) Mowery. His parents Elwood & Marion Elizabeth Mowery. His siblings Roger, Rick and Tom. Slaughter, Dorothy

Dorothy Elaine Slaughter, 71 of Eastlake Ohio passed away peacefully at home with family on December 27th, 2023. She was born in Dalton GA on November 4th, 1952 to Arthell Campbell and Dorothy Hughes, Her first job was at an A&W rootbeer stand at 15yo and she went on to hold many other positions in industry and healthcare. Her True love was her love for Jesus, her church, and her family.She was the Sunday school superintendent at Aspinwall Church for many years and was able to touch endless hearts of children across our city, This is the work she found most fulfilling. She is remembered by those who knew her as a sweet, kind and godly soul. She was angel on earth who has now gained her heavenly reward. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband James and survived by her Children James (Marilyn) & Candice. Grandchildren, Christopher, Alayna, James, Jordan,Alan,Cole,Alison & Alyssa. MARION M. DINGER - BUIE (nee Morrison) age 91, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home after a week surrounded by her children. Marion was born in Punxsutawney, Pa to the parents of Robert and Evelyn Morrison. She was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School and she married Max Dinger in 1950. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio and then moved to Conneaut, Ohio where she call “Forever Home”. She enjoyed traveling, casinos and garage sales! It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of John William Halcrow on December 18, 2023. Born to William and Jeanette Halcrow on December 28, 1964. John tried his best to stay close to home as his life and love could be found within a few favorite country roads and his beloved garage. John will be incredibly missed by his love, Wendy Cripps and his kids Frank Cripps (Melissa), Carly MacLeod (Scott), and Andrea Cripps (Chris Martin). Grandpa to seven amazing grandchildren, Chase Mitchell, Charlie and Bennett Cripps, Haylee Palmer, and Kacey, Wyatt, and Blake Martin. Erb, Kenneth

Kenneth Joseph Erb Jr. (age 63) passed away suddenly December 12, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio. Kenny was born on November 30, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio and raised by his mother, Josephine (Morana) Kenaga. He is a self-taught guitarist and lived his life through his love of music that began when the family moved to Fremont, Ohio, during his teenage years. After moving to Cleveland in 1982, he formed the band Shok Paris, one of the pioneers of the Cleveland Heavy Metal scene. The band had much success throughout the 1980's and through all the ups and downs, Kenny never gave up on his dream and continued making music until the very end. Kenny is preceded in death by his beloved and cherished mother Josephine (Morana) Kenaga and the love of his life, Diane "Dodi" Braun. Rehark, Norman

Norman G. Rehark, Jr. (Norm) died unexpectedly on Nov. 8, 2023 in Westlake, Ohio where he lived for more than forty years. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 20, 1941 to the late Norman Rehark, Sr. and Elizabeth (nee Durk) Rehark. He lived most of his life in northeastern Ohio with part of his childhood spent in Mayville, New York. He was a master plumber, having graduated from Lakewood High School and Max Hayes Vocational School. He was a talented wood carver and delighted in giving away many carvings. He also made several metal sculptures as well as wood sculptures. He also enjoyed gardening and camping. With his family, he went on camping vacations to places around the United States, but mostly to Northern Minnesota where he enjoyed fishing, boating, and canoeing. He was a loving, caring, kind person with a great sense of humor. He leaves behind his wife of nearly fifty six years, Christine (nee Lanner), his sons Erik and Michael, daughter-in-law Ann (nee West), grandchildren Hunter and Hallie, brother Jeffrey and numerous other relatives. Franciscus, Leo Charles

Leo Charles Franciscus, 94, passed away on November 28, 2023. He was the beloved husband of his late wife, Joyce, for 56 years and a wonderful father to Joy (Eddie) Powers, Lee (Angie), Jerry (Megan), and Larry (Laurie), and a cherished grandpa to Gabrielle, Brock, Blake, and Nicholas Powers; Dillon, Devon, Clare, Kate Marie, and Molly Franciscus; and Andrew Boutell. Leo enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After his four years of service, he attended the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He had a long and successful career at NASA's Lewis Research Center as an Aerospace engineer and was awarded two United States patents for his work on rocket engines. After retirement, Leo enjoyed working on his Mustang cars, sailing his sailboat on Lake Erie, swimming laps at the local pools, and relaxing at his lakeside cottage in Huron.
