FRENCH, FREDA

Freda French, 64, passed away suddenly on October 12th, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Virginia French, and her sister, Tammy Blankenship. She is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Curran(Chris Shackleton), and her loving grandson Christopher, as well as her sister Debra French, and her brothers Daniel French and Robert Zemerick. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a beloved friend to many. Visitation, will be Monday October 17th from 5p-7p, at the Malloy-Esposito Celebration Center, 6384 Pearl Rd, Parma Heights Ohio 44130. MASSUCCI, DOMINIC

WICKLIFFE, OH - Dominic A. (Donnie) Massucci passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Born September 8th, 1949 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the Son of the late Dominic and Lena Massucci (Bassignana). Dominic graduated from Saint John High School in 1968. He served in the United States Army after high school and was stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana and Heidelberg, Germany during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. After returning, he attended Kent State University and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He then owned & operated Massucci Memorial Chapel in Ashtabula where he took great pride in serving families in their time of need. Sports played in integral part of life for Dominic. Baseball was his passion including coaching all of his children and watching on TV. He enjoyed watching the Yankees and the Indians as well as Lebron James wherever he played basketball. His baseball hero was Rocky Colavito, whom he was able to meet in person in 2021. Brother, uncle and friend Paul Russel Moore, age 83, of Cleveland, Ohio, died on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 1, 1939, in Wooster, Ohio. He was the second son and third child born to William Paul and Alma Pearl (nee Dabney) Moore. He was preceded in death by both parents, his sister Wilma (Winston) King and brother William (Barbara) Moore, both of Wooster, nephew Shawn Moore, of Wooster, and his long-term companion John Sweetnich, of Cleveland. In addition, his two rescue dogs Freda and Free preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother Larry Moore, of Wooster, nephews Jeff (Dee) Moore and Joel Moore, both of Wooster, nieces Brenda (Kent) Warner of Bay Village, Ohio, Leslie Moore Sells, of Wooster, and Nicole (Josiah) Barnhart, of Zanesville, Ohio, as well as great nephew Adam Warner, of New York, New York, great nieces Deanna (Matt) Pittard, of Asheville, North Carolina, and Jennifer Sells McVay, of Orrville, Ohio, and four great-great nieces. Dorothy May Cogar, age 86, of Cleveland, Ohio passed away peacefully at home after a recent diagnosis of cancer. Dorothy was born in Delta, Ohio on May 31, 1936. She was the fifth daughter of the late Estel Harvey and Blanch May (nee Balser) Beaverson. Dorothy graduated from Delta High School in 1954. She was the Queen’s Attendant for her first three years of high school and Homecoming Queen her senior year. She was named Queen Miss Delta in 1954, as well. She was involved in several school activities including cheerleading, starring roles in school plays and played a variety of sports. She was very popular and well-liked. After graduation, Dorothy traveled and explored different career options: beauty school in Toledo, Ohio, airline stewardess training in Omaha, Nebraska and waitressing in Florida. Following her brief time in Florida, she came home and got a job waitressing at the Toledo Airport Restaurant & Coffee Shop where she met the love of her life. (Nee: Nemetz) 1926 – 2022 Lorna Bernadette Craig, age 96, passed away with her family by her side, on September 29, 2022, at her home in Brook Park Ohio. Lorna was born in Cleveland, Ohio to John G. and Marie Nemetz [nee Salobecke] on July 11, 1926. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children, three grandchildren, their spouses and numerous extended family members and friends. Andrew T. Senko, age 77 Beloved husband of Christine (nee Adriano). Andy was born in Cambridge, Ohio on January 26, 1945. He is survived by his two brothers, Edward (Michelle) and Robert (Jamie). His parents, Andy and Mary (nee Zembo) are deceased. Andy is also survived by a large, loving extended family including many nieces, nephews, greats, and grands. He was employed with General Motors Corp. for 37 years, retiring in 2000. In retirement, he worked part-time for Enterprise Car Rental Co. for 20 years. Andy had a great love of many different sports, participating in and enjoying through his life. He was a state licensed official for football and basketball for Muny leagues and at the high school level. Was an active softball and hardball player on many teams in his earlier years, and managing a few at the same time. In his later years he found great enjoyment and fulfillment in coaching and giving hitting lessons at several area high schools for girl’s fast-pitch teams. Rev Christine (Tina) M.Wakeley, born July 28th, 1926, passed away at the age of 96 on August 6th, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Fred, who passed away in 2020. Loving mother of John (Rita), Mary (Ken), Eddie, Gus - deceased, Timmy - deceased, and Cindy (Lou - deceased). Cherished by her 13 grandchildren, and many great (and great-great) grandchildren. Christine's parents (Gus and Mary Allen) developed the church, God is Love Tabernacle, which Christine became the natural successor of. Although the location of the church moved several times, her dedication to serving the Lord never faltered. Through her work in the ministry, and eventual development of the Crossroads Christian Academy school, Tina has impacted the lives of many in such a positive way. Bernard Thomas Ferris born May 28, 1939, passed away peacefully at his home in Cleveland, OH on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Bernie was the youngest child of Haman and Anna Ferris (nee Rosepiler) and was preceded in death by his brother Norman and sister Rita Bielozer. He is survived by his companion and love of 17 years, Maria Rivera, his sister Theresa Kassay and his son Scott, his wife Teri and their children Ryan and Madison. He was Papa to José, Luz(José), Zulma, Javier(Fatima), Arlene(Joseph) and Carlos and extended family. He was married to Jaqueline Ferris (nee Rauscher) for fifty years. Bernie was a beloved (favorite) uncle to his many nieces and nephews. In 2008, Bernie retired from the Cleveland Police Department after serving the public as a patrolman and detective for 44 years. In 1969, he was a founding member of the Cleveland’s Policeman Patrolmen Association.
