Antoinette was a strong advocate for her children and her altruistic nature often extended to others. HENDRICKS, DIANNE Dianne Hendricks, 65, concluded a courageous fight with cancer Aug. 26, 2012 at Hospice of Western Reserve. Born in Evansville, IN, she graduated from Cuyahoga Community College with a nursing degree in 1989 and retired from University Hospital in 2010 after 41 years of dedicated service. Preceded in death by her mother Ruth Porter; survived by her beloved husband, Oliver; daughter Andrea Harris (Kenneth) of Cleveland Heights; son Ward Barnett (Kimberly) of Toledo; brother William Mayes (Eulene) of Cleveland; grandchildren Krysten, Noelle, Marques, Imani, and Ward; great granddaughter Khyn’delle and a host of family and friends. An active member of the SGI-USA, Dianne served this Buddhist organization in many volunteer leadership roles, and was known for her compassionate spirit and warmth. A memorial service will be held Sat. Sept 1 at 11:00 at the SGI Community Center, 13111 Crossburn Avenue (off West 130th Street please enter the parking lot from Sprecher Avenue). {rscomments on}
