MORRIS, DONALD

Donald Lee Morris (86) born on June 18, 1937, passed away on June 19th, 2023 surrounded by his children in Parma Heights, Ohio. Donald, fondly known as Donnie, was born to Frankie and Clyde Morris in Whitesville, WV. He was the eldest of 9 children. Donnie served his country in the US Airforce and later became a retired truck driver. He loved traveling and vacationing with his family. He was the true meaning of a family man. His loving nature will truly be missed. He is preceded in death by his wife Zola Morris. Together they had 4 children. Donald (Christine), late Danny, Richard, and Debra (Jim). He is survived by 11 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. His burial will take place on July 21st, 2023, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife at Raynes Family Cemetery in Ameagle, WV.

KUFNER, LAURA

Laura Marie Kufner, 42, passed away on June 17th, 2023. Beloved daughter of Donna Klucznik (John Klucznik) & Robert Kufner. Devoted fiancée of Thomas DiCarro and step mother to Christopher and Rocco DiCarro. Loving sister of Angelina (Jennifer), John, and Joseph and step sister of Matthew and Gregory Kufner. Dearest niece, cousin, and friend to many. Laura loved her Cleveland Browns, her fur babies, Bruno & Carolina, and any opportunity to bake for her family. She is loved by many and will be dearly missed. All services will be private.

CHAMBERS, ROBERT

Robert William (Sonny) Chambers (1930 – 2023) passed away on June 14, 2023 at the age of 92. Son of Stewart and Ada Chambers. Beloved husband of Barbara; father of Katherine (Martin), and Christine (Mark); Brother of deceased Stewart, Barbara, Roger, and Kathy. Brother of Garnet, Jerry, Alice, and Linda. Grandfather to Steven, Daniel, Scott, Aidan, and Caleb. Great-grandfather to Jackson and Isabelle. Bob grew up in Canonsburg, PA and served during the Korean conflict. In younger years he was a boxer and won two Golden Gloves championships. He enjoyed bowling, and at one time rolled a perfect 300 game. He was very passionate about the game of golf. So much so that he once played an entire season with his arm in a cast earning him a trophy for “Best one-armed golfer”. Some of his additional hobbies included painting, driving his Vintage Lincoln Continental in many local parades, and he was a life-long Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Robert was also a devoted owner of many dogs, cats and even a rabbit. Robert did not want a funeral. Per his wishes, he was cremated, and he is resting at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

Luis Angel Romero Vargas, age 68 passed on June 13, 2023 at Crestmont North in Cleveland Ohio due to dementia. He was a Vietnam Vet and a Clevelander at heart. He was born in Tiquisate Guatemala to Ana Marie Vargas De Romero (deceased) and Alberto Romero Ayala (deceased) on July 18 1954. He is survived by Children Michael and Elizabeth Zimmerman; grandchildren Alexia and Kayden; Sisters Clara Luz, and Ana Bela; Niece/Nephews Ronald, Leonardo (deceased), Michael and Alejandra.

LASH, AL

Al Lash, Streetsboro Feb. 21, 1935 – June 10, 2023 Al Lash of Streetsboro passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the age of 88. He was born Carl Allen Lash in Clarksville, Pa., on February 21, 1935, but he preferred to be called Al. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he met Catherine Barker, of Manistique, Mich., who also served in the Marine Corps. Al and Cathy were discharged in 1957 and married the next day in Beaufort, S.C. They settled in Streetsboro, where they raised their family of five children. Al served on the Streetsboro School Board from 1972 to 1976, and he enjoyed many weekends camping with the family, mostly in Pennsylvania. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he never missed an opening day of deer season in the hills of Pennsylvania for more than 60 years. He was maintenance foreman and safety director for Air Maze Corp. in Bedford when Cathy passed away in 1987. PECK, MICHAEL

Michael T. Peck passed away suddenly on Monday, June 5, 2023 at the age of 36. Michael enjoyed getting out on the hiking trails and exploring nature, especially in the Cleveland Metroparks. His love of dogs led him to his volunteer work at the Berea ARF animal shelter. He had fostered many dogs over the years. He will be missed by his loving parents, Stacey Peck (Bob Lazaris) and Charles and Frances Peck; brother, Troy Dusman; uncle Joseph Peck; and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Michael was predeceased by his father Chrisopher Zawislan; and grandparents, John and Mary Ann Zawislan. A private memorial service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 5:00 PM with family. Family will welcome friends to celebrate Michael’s life following the private service from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Both will take place at 16736 Lanier Ave, Strongsville, OH 44136.

OSCAR TAYLOR FRYE (66 YEARS OLD) known as, O.T, passed away June 5, 2023 surrounded by friends and family. Born to Emmit and Marjorie Frye on September 22, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio. O.T was a jack of all trades, master of none, but better then a master of one. He was a protector who made those around him feel safe. O.T is survived by his wife Elizabeth, three adult children Este (Nikki), Jarroll, and Megan and grandchildren Aaron, Mariah, Jadalynn, Trinity and Isabella. Along with his sisters Este, Judy, Eleanor, Margo, Florine not to munch countless nieces and nephews. He enjoyed his time by having a good time with friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held with the family in private.

Linda Schwering-Seedhouse (nee. Urbach) passed away June 1st, 2023. She is survived by her best friend, and beloved Husband Chuck, and her children - Kimberly Paracsi (Dave) and Kristy Bertke (Brad). Linda was a loving Grandmother to Emma (Tom), Addison, Liam and Graeme. Great Grandmother to Noah and Evelyn. Preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Arlene Urbach, and brothers Gary and Donald. Linda was a remarkable woman, who welcomed everyone into her life with open arms and unconditional love. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely - our family lost a matriarch, but Heaven gained an Angel. A private family service will be held at a later date.

On May 23, 2023 Rhonda (Fowler) Greenleaf passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a brief Illness. Born in Cleveland, Ohio June 2, 1961. She was a lifelong resident of Lorain County. She is survived by her son Larry Greenleaf Jr. and daughter Nicole (Doug) Walden of Somerset, KY Her father John (Nan) Fowler of Cleveland. Her grandchildren: Brandon Jeziorski, Makayla Moore, Elijah Walden and Avery Greenleaf. Her siblings: Andrew M. Fowler Sr., Scott (Wendy) Fowler, Deborah (Michael) Kampfer and Marinda Roman. And many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother (Sandy Fowler) whom she was the caregiver for the past 5 years. Rhonda was a attendee of the Brookside High school class of 1978 in Sheffield Lake. She worked as a server for many years. From Big Boys at the turnpike plaza, to managing Tyrones Far West Inn for many years and she continued "serving" her family and friends with her special meals on Holidays and family get togethers.
