Carl Alex Kayser January 1, 1944 – January 4, 2021 Cleveland, Ohio Carl was the son of Emil & Maria Ziegler Kayser, immigrants from Germany. He graduated from Webster High School in 1962 with a Regents scholarship. After graduating from R.I.T., Carl received his Masters from SUNY Albany in Mathematics. He then volunteered for the Army, serving for his country twice in Viet Nam as a MP, receiving a Bronze Star for his service. Carl studied for his Ph.D. and was scouted by the U.S. Department of Labor. He worked as a Data Base Administrator and quickly became the expert for the entire Bureau of Labor Statistics, where he worked for 37 years. Carl’s hobbies included photography, skiing, cooking, remodeling, reading, bridge, and sharing time with his family. Carl’s family sincerely thanks the nursing staff at the VA in Cleveland. Carl leaves his brother Robert in Dallas, TX, sisters Linda (Whitey) Heaphy in Raleigh, NC and Margaret (John) Phillips in Columbus, OH, niece Tara (James) Monefeldt, nephews Ryan (Stephanie) Phillips, Brian (Roxanne) & Kevin (Beth) Heaphy, 5 grandnieces, and 2 grandnephews. Pamela, “Pam,” Mary Phillips (née Hales) of Brunswick, was born April 15, 1947 in Needham Market, a small town in Ipswich, England, during the lovely season of bluebells to the late Leslie and Audrey (nee Bloomfield) Hales. She had instant friends in her brother and sisters, a bond that was strong no matter the miles that would separate them. She began a new adventure in America in 1970 where she put down roots and raised three sons. She was the most dedicated and loving mum to Duane (Jennifer), Darren (Jennifer), and Denton (Amber). She was a doting Grandma/Nana that was there for all the adventures they jumped into: flag football, football, soccer, basketball, piano, robotics, swimming, gymnastics, dance, math competitions, band, serving in the Navy, serving in the Air Force, first jobs, graduations, you name it. HENSLEY, TIMOTHY

Timothy Charles Hensley, age 58, of Akron, OH passed away Thursday, January 7th, 2021. Born in Columbus, OH in 1962, he spent the early years of his life in Euclid, OH before moving to Lakewood, OH in his middle school years. He was a graduate of Lakewood High School in 1980. As a child, he loved tinkering with electronics and deconstructing devices to understand how they worked. He took that curiosity and knowledge into his adult life and began working on cars. He became a very gifted mechanic and used that talent until the very end. He would often be able to improvise ideas to facilitate a solution to any of his work and life's problems. He persevered through situations that most would have succumbed to. He loved watching sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. Antonia (Toni) Maxwell (nee LaValle), age 82, passed away peacefully in her Lakewood home on January 7, 2021. Toni was born on the west side of Cleveland on July 12, 1938 to Frank and Rose LaValle (nee Costanzo). Toni was preceded in death by her husband John and brother Frank LaValle. Toni is survived by her brother Gene LaValle (Peggie), sister-in-law Louise LaValle; daughters Ruthann Kostadinov (Sasha) and Sarah Szalay (Steve) and many much loved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was an avid reader, excellent cook, longtime Indians fan and Cleveland Orchestra enthusiast. Some of her fondest memories were the fun-filled trips to Las Vegas and Italy with her family and friends. She will be missed. A celebration of life with family and friends will take place when it is safe to do so. On Monday, January 4, 2021, Eileen E. Wereb (nee Keogh), loving wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother of 19 and great-grandmother of 17, passed away at the age of 83 due to Alzheimer’s Disease. Eileen was born on August 9, 1937 in Arklow, County Wicklow, Ireland to Joseph and Mary (nee Byrne) Keogh. She immigrated to the United States in 1956; married Joseph Tako on January 4, 1958 and they raised six children in Valley City, Ohio. On May 21, 1988, she married the love of her life and her best friend, Roy Wereb and resided in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Eileen’s passions were always her family, dancing, traveling, playing canasta, golfing, bowling and bingo. She loved giving advice to anyone who was troubled and said a prayer each night for her husband and herself, all of their children and their mates, their grand-children and their mates, all of their great-grandchildren, all of their relatives and friends and for all the people in the world that have no one to pray for them. Kenneth A. Janders, born on 7-16-46 passed away on 1-2-21, surrounded by family members. His family and those closest to him, would attest to the fact that Ken was a hard worker and had a huge heart. When there was a job to be done, big or small, Ken was always the first to volunteer. He was generous to a fault and would give you the shirt off his back without blinking an eye! Through the years, Ken enjoyed playing pool, sports, trivia, meticulously caring for his yard and reconnecting with extended family at annual reunions. He is survived by his sisters, Karen (Bob) and Joanne (Mark) and his four nieces, Robin, Lisa, Sarah and Kristen. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Hank and Antoinette Janders. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery where Ken will be laid to rest.

Shelia Ann Buday-Hansen of Sheffield Village passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020 after a nine month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Shelia was born June 20, 1951 to Boyd and Geraldine Needs. Shelia was active in the Antiques Sales business and had a unique gift of designing and interior decorating. Shelia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lester. Shelia is survived by her loving husband of thirty years, Michael Hansen. Devoted mother to Daniel (Donna) Buday. Cherished grandmother to Emma and Alex.
