LAU, ELIZABETH E. "BETTY" ELIZABETH E. “BETTY” LAU, 79, passed away on March 7, 2014 surrounded by the love of family, friends, her cat Emilia and her favorite classical music. All agree the world is a different place without Betty Lau. She was a person of faith, a dedicated social worker and a lifelong artist. A celebration of Betty Lau’s life is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5 at the Unitarian Society of Cleveland, 2728 Lancashire Road in Cleveland. Memorial gifts can be made in Betty’s name to the Society. Betty was beloved by her chosen family: Barbara Lau and partner Gail Crabtree; Michael Lau and his children Megan and Braden; Leslie Fay and partner Sue Ditty; Susan Treleaven and partner Stephen Blakney and their children Noah Blakney and Gabriel MacConaill and his partner Joanna Litt; and Tim Emeis, his wife Peggy and their daughter Rachel. NUNWEILER, WILLIAM G. WILLIAM G. NUNWEILER, beloved husband of Rosemary, dear father of Elizabeth (Nunweiler) Atchison, adored grandfather of Miles Atchison, dear brother-in-law of William Jean and David Gooding, beloved brother of Sylvester, and deceased siblings Herbert, Walter, Margaret, Florence, Raymond, and Francis, son of the late Frank and Clara (Kruse) Nunweiler, and cherished friend to many, departed this world on March 8, 2014. A retired passenger service manager at American Airlines, Air Force veteran, pilot, and life time member of the Air Force Gunners Association, Commemorative Air Force, American Legion, and American Air Museum in the US and Britain, Bill was passionate about flight. He was also a devoted jazz musician, an award winning artisan, and an avid gardener. A celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, March 19 at 11 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 21485 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, followed by a reception at the 100th Bomb Group, 20920 Brookpark Rd., Cleveland.
