Born February 20th 1941-Passed March 28th 2024 Anne (Annie) Rivera Caldwell, beloved daughter of Jose (Pepine) and Gloria Rivera, went home to the Lord on Holy Thursday, March 28 2024 at the age of 83.She was preceded in death by husbands Ruben DeJesus, and Donn Caldwell. She is survived by husbands Charles Housum and James Moore. Annie is survived by her children, Hiram DeJesus (Candy), Anna DeJesus-Jacobs, Ruben DeJesus (Kathy), Laura Caldwell- Lehman (Doug) and Annette Moore- Shumaker (Kevin). She is also survived by her three siblings: Lucy Rivera Kenyon (Dave), Sarah Rivera, and Jose Louis Rivera (Pat). Annie was grandmother to 12 grandchildren: Alison & Heather DeJesus, Jenny, Jessie and Katrina DeJesus Heath (Lewis), Anthony Jacobs, Jake, Cal, and Stefan Lehman and Iliana “Ian” Moore, Samantha & Kevin Shumaker, as well as her 9 great-grandchildren. Annie was a founding member of the Spanish American Committee, a Cleveland Public School Language teacher, and Cleveland first, and longest running Latina radio personality for Greater Cleveland’s Spanish speaking community. Weber, James

On March 7, 2024 we lost James Edward Weber unexpectedly at his home in Parma Heights, Ohio from a pulmonary embolism. James was born December 1, 1975 in Cleveland and adopted by his loving parents Paul & Joan Weber, both deceased. He grew up in Rocky River, Ohio, playing with his younger sister and his friends. He was a talented and skilled pianist and saxophonist. In adulthood he traveled and had many happy years in Ocracoke, NC and Portland, OR, before returning to Ohio. Jim loved helping his friends, cooking for them, debating philosophy, and binge-watching the next great show while endlessly dissecting and debating it with them. He had a curious mind, a clever wit, and an appreciation of the absurd. Jim had a wonderful charisma, whether he realized it or not, that was immediately present any time he entered a room. He was a person who, upon meeting, you wanted to get to know better. He was entrepreneurial and creative - he anticipated Uber Eats by more than a decade with his “Take-Out Taxi” business in Ocracoke. Paluck, Gerald

Born on July 4, 1942, in Cleveland Ohio, and passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 81. He is predeceased by his mother Dorothy (nee Zellinger), father Joseph. and beloved wife Christine (nee Haff). Devoted father of Channing (Amy Hatch) and Vanessa (Chuck Shano). Loving grandfather of Charles, Carter, Chase, Emmeline, and Henry. Gerald was an accomplished professional musician, performing as a percussionist in studios, pits, and stages across North America. He was also a respected Registered Piano Technician in the Cleveland area for nearly 40 years. Finally, Gerald was an all-around lover of the arts, and donations may be made to the Cleveland Museum of Art in his name. A private ceremony to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.

Moore, Shannan

Shannan Marie Moore aged 42 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday February 29th, 2024. She was born on July 30th, 1981, in Lorain OH. Shannan had three beautiful daughters that she loved very much. Shannan will be remembered by all for her sense of humor, her kind heart, her generosity, and her love of all animals. Shannan is survived by: Madelynn L. Moore (daughter), Angelina N. Moore (daughter), Natalia N. Moore (daughter), Hazel L. Parrish (granddaughter) Theresa A. Fazekas (mother), Gary Wolf (stepfather), Joseph Redilla (father), Alice M. Fazekas (grandmother), Ann M Fazekas-Coon (aunt) and Michelle L. Barb (aunt). Shannan was preceded in death by her grandfather Laszlo Fazekas and her uncle Leslie J. Fazekas. Shannan will be deeply missed but we can now take comfort knowing that she is finally at peace surrounded by love in the arms of our heavenly Father. Schultz, Joyce

Joyce T. Schultz, (nee Cochamas), age 80, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2024. Wife of late husband, Wayne G. Schultz, of 43 years. Loving mother of Kara Lee Wilson (Jim), Darren (Lynn), Darce (Kerrie); loving "Grammy" of Karissa, Nicholas, Maura, Claire, Gabriel, Anderson, Carter and Kellan; aunt, great-aunt and wonderful friend of many who she loved dearly. Joyce was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on October 27, 1943. Joyce and her husband moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1965. She received her Bachelor of Home Economics from the University of Manitoba and was a Home Economics teacher at Fairview Park Schools and Magnificat High School in Rocky River for several years. Her passion for cooking, sewing and gardening was her special way of spreading love and joy to all those who knew her. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Westlake United Methodist Church, 27650 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, Ohio with a luncheon immediately following the service. Mance, John

John Roger Mance, 64, passed away on February 26, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on August 28, 1959, in Santa Ana, California, and later moved to Cleveland at the age of 12. John was a Millwright fabricator by trade and attended Max Hayes Vocational School. John was a man who loved nature, basking in the sunshine at the park, and showcasing his creative side through stained glass art. His quick wit and sense of humor brought joy to those around him. John's mechanical skills and intelligence were evident in his work and hobbies. He cherished spending time with his family, cracking jokes, and creating beautiful stained-glass pieces. John is survived by his brothers, Jay Mance (Valerie), Jimmy Mance (Nancy), and Jamie Mance; his children, Ashley, Jason, Johnny, and Tiffany; and his beloved grandchildren, Devon, Adriana, Connor, Tristan, Ashlynn, Izabel, and Aisley. He was also an uncle and friend to many. John was preceded in death by, the love of his life, Peggy, his parents John and Joan Mance, and his sister, Jody Burchell. Drotleff, Judy

Judy S. Drotleff, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024. She was 78 years old. Born in Youngstown, Ohio on December 1, 1945, Judy was the daughter of the late Jack and Katherine Slagle. She graduated from Canfield High School in 1964 and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Northwestern University in 1968. Judy worked as a newspaper writer and editor for nearly 20 years, first at The Youngstown Vindicator and later at The Cleveland Press until a few weeks before it ceased publication. She continued freelance writing with program notes for The West Shore Chorale as well as composing with her husband, including an anniversary musical for the youth choirs at Rocky River United Methodist Church. Outside of work, Judy loved reading and had an extensive library specializing in Christmas books and children’s books. An avid traveler, she enjoyed multiple tours of Europe including two transatlantic voyages on ocean liners, a photo safari in East Africa, and visited most of the major US cities with her favorite being New York City. Carole Jean Adams (nee Eckert) passed away on February 10, 2024, in Avon, Ohio, at the age of 88. Carole was born on July 13, 1935, In West Hazelton, Pennsylvania, to William and Roselle Eckert. Carole was a loving, caring, funny, and talented individual who cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her son, William Adams, daughter in law, Brenda Adams, daughter Julia Simpson nee Adams, Son in law Charles Simpson, granddaughters, Joy Adams, and Sydney Valenti nee Simpson, grandsons Duncan Simpson, and Maxwell Simpson, and Sister Judith Beck. She was preceded in death by her husband George Adams. Carole graduated from Lakewood High School in 1952 and went on to have a career in billing and coding at Lutheran and Fairview hospitals. Cherished life companion of Ken Czar. Loving aunt, great aunt, niece, cousin, and friend to many.
