SMITH SR., MARK Mark Alan Smith, Sr., born Dec. 27th 1925, passed away comfortably and surrounded by family on Sunday, February 19th. Mark was born in Cleveland and graduated from University School in 1943. His college years were interrupted by World War II, in which he served as in the 100th infantry division in France and Germany and was awarded the Bronze Star. He completed college at Yale after the war, graduating in 1949. Mark trained in law at Cleveland Marshall College of Law of Cleveland State University, specialized in estate and probate law, and practiced until 1993. In his retirement, he volunteered for Meals On Wheels and Cleveland Court Community Service, and remained an avid swimmer. Mark is survived by his wife of 34 years, Margot Sankey Smith; sons Arch Smith of Minneapolis, MN, and Christopher Sankey of Guilford, CT; step-son Chip Bartlett of Cleveland Hts., OH; grandchildren Mac Smith, Molly Hulling, Sam Smith, and Mason Smith. LOUKAS, JAMES It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of James Louis Loukas on January 26th, 2017 at the age of 72. Jimmy, son of Louis and Ann Loukas (Bafaloukos) (Pavlis), loving husband of Ruth “Baker” Loukas, father of four children: Edward, Pamela (Steve), Joanna (David) and Leonard (Tammy), and cherished “Papa” of seven: Michael and Elizabeth, Steve and Nicole, Michael and Michelle, and Morgan. He is survived by his brother John (Ginger) Loukas, sisters Joann (the late Pietro) Bafaloukos Bulgarini and Margo (Chuck) Sanida. Jimmy, known as the Mayor of Spokane, loved life, his family, friends, food, fast cars, old cars, and of course, funny cars. He was a great man that loved to tell a compelling story. MOFFITT, JOHN John A. Moffitt, age 59 passed away suddenly February 4, 2017. Proud and loving father of Sara Alexandria Moffitt (Josh), stepfather to Ashleigh Gaydos. Brother to Holly Ciresi and Karen Moffitt. Nephew of Clarice Drake. Uncle to Nathan Moffitt (Kat) and Cortney Richardson (Tyler). Great uncle to Matthew, Alexandria, Abagail, Emilee, Tate, Elexys and Jharen. John loved spending time with his family and his dogs Skye and Diesel. KING, ADAM Adam King, 44, died suddenly Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Brookpark Ohio. Born in Makawao Hawaii, he attended North Olmsted High before graduating in 1990 from Radford High in Hawaii. Known for his strong work ethic, he owned a siding and roofing business in Middleburg Hts. He was a skilled fly fisherman and avid surfer whose giant smile and animated personality will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving mother Margaret King, father Christopher Eckenberg, former spouse of 10 years Jane King (Leickly) and their 3 young children Autumn, Sarah, and Elijah King. He also leaves 9 adoring nieces and nephews and a large extended family. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Delores King, brother Erik Eckenburg & James (Kimo) Javier. ANDREY, KENNETH Kenneth Norman Andrey, beloved husband and high school sweetheart of Earline Andrey (nee Millen) married 66 years, passed away November 1st at the age of 87. Kenneth, born in Cleveland, was the son of Joseph and Lillian Andrey and brother to Richard. Ken resided in North Olmsted, was the father to Linda (Patrick) Whelan, Jeff Andrey (Jennifer), Tracey (Jeff) Medley. Grandpa to Cheryl (Andrew) Cochran. He was Papa to Madisen & Austen Medley and Great-Grandpa to Miles Cochran. Ken was a graduate of West Tech high school, and served in the Airforce during the Korean War where he pursued his passion for photography. He was an accomplished Sales Professional but best known for capturing moments in pictures along with his love of family. A celebration of his life will take place 11am Wednesday, November 23rd at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 25200 Lorain Road, North Olmsted Ohio 44070, followed by a reception at noon. Wagoner of Gahanna, Ohio, Robin L Sarian (Edward) of Parma Hts, Ohio; grandchildren: Tara Wagoner, of Gahanna, Ohio, David, Daniel, and Donald Sarian of Parma Hts, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles "Chilly" Wagoner and Lois (Lawrence) Wagoner of East Liverpool, Ohio, and sister, Linda Day (Kenneth), of Columbus, Ohio. David was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on November 22, 1943, and graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1961. He was an active member of the Boyce Methodist Church. He attended Asbury College in Wilmore, KY, where he earned a Bachelor degree in Biology, and later he earned a Masters degree in Science education from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. David was a teacher with the Cleveland Public School system for 31 years (1965-1996). NAGY, SOFIA Sofia Nagy, 98, of Twinsburg, Ohio (formerly of Jamestown, New York) died on September 21, 2016, at Maison Aine/Arbors of Stow in Stow, Ohio. She was born on May 2, 1918 in Tóthfalu, Hungary, the daughter of Ferenc and Teréz Nagy. She met her husband in a refugee camp in Yugoslavia after World War II. They married on June 16, 1950 and were married for 61 years. They immigrated to the United States in May 1956 and lived in Detroit, Michigan where they were sponsored by the Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church. In the early 1960s they moved to Jamestown, New York, where they lived for over 40 years until they moved to Cleveland, Ohio, to live with their daughter. Sofia was a homemaker and an excellent cook. Her specialty was chicken paprikash. Throughout her life Sofia showed kindness, compassion and love towards all. Her shoulders were broad and her heart was open to a friend or stranger in need. She loved animals especially horses, dogs, and cats.
