Dorothy M Counter (nee Monroe) - loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and faithful servant to the lord was called home on May 11, 2022 surrounded by family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband Oakley L Counter. Ladd York, 67, of Westlake, passed away on May 8th, 2022. Ladd was born July 30, 1954 to the late Rose and John York in Cleveland. He is survived by his daughter Traci York (Joe Cermak), grandson Bryce York and his cousin Robin (Jim Chase). Ladd was preceded in death by his son Rudolph York. Ladd graduated from Central Catholic High School at 16 and had completed 2 years of college at Cleveland State for Engineering. Ladd worked for Kauffman Container for 39 years until retirement. Ladd loved to fish, collect coins, stamps, and sports cards. He loved history, astronomy, music, and movies. Everyone that met him loved him and often referred to him as “Ladd the Dad.” He was smart, kind and had a sense of humor. Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Walter Bochenek of Cleveland Ohio entered life January 2, 1973 to Janet (Steve) Wagner and the late Walter C. Bochenek. On April 27, 2022, he entered eternal life. Wally graduated from Benedictine High School in 1991 and was employed by the United States Postal Service for over 20 years. He was a life-long Cleveland Indians fan and a proud Polish American. Wally is survived by his siblings; Case (Matt Garson) Bochenek, Joseph (Molly) Bochenek, Julianna (Marlon) Davis, and Brian (Angie) Bochenek. Wally, “Uncle Fun” as he was known, was a loving uncle to Dallas, Parker, Paige, Calum, Madelyn, Jillian, Max, Ella, Gus, Connor, Emma, and Megan. A Celebration of Life will be held at Malloy-Esposito Celebration Center located at 6384 Pearl Rd, Parma Heights, 44129 on May 21, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

BARBARA ANN (BALL) NEILLEY, age 84, went home to be with her Jesus on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at the David Simpson Hospice House. She was a faithful member of the Aspinwall Church of God. Barbara was born May 31, 1937, at O’Keeffe, WV to the late Byron (Doc) Ball and the late Cassie (Murphy) Ball. After graduating high school in 1955, she moved to Columbus, OH, where she met and married her late husband, William (Bill) Neilley on November 27, 1970. In 2016, Barbara relocated to Cleveland, OH, to be near her niece and husband, Robin and Ron Varney. She was also preceded in death by her stepmom, Beulah (Boyd) Ball, brother and sister-in-law, William and Janice Ball, and sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Don Cobb. Barbara is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with family and friends. Everyone who met her went away positively impacted by her love, kind spirit, wisdom, and sense of humor. John "Andy" Wetherill 76 was born in Lima, Ohio on Sept 3rd, 1945 to Auda and Justus "Jack" Wetherill, both deceased. He is survived by his wife Donna (nee Licht), step daughters Oona and Greta Mooney, from Cleveland, Ohio, daughters Amy Word (Paul) and Julie Troedsson (Peter), and grandchildren Jeremy Baker, Logan Flues and Sydney Word, from Oregon. John graduated from Lima Senior "63, served in the Airforce in Ohio, England, Dominican Republic and Alaska He was married to first wife, Wanda and moved to Astoria, Oregon where he was an on-air personality at KVAS Astoria, ran a laundromat and was a school recruiter. After divorce, he moved back to Ohio. He excelled in sales of electronics and furniture. Donna became his wife in October 1988 and thus, he became a step-dad to Oona and Greta, Known as Andy to most, he was a thoughtful, kind and loving man who valued his friends and loved ones. Jeffery McKnight, 61, of Bedford, passed away on April 21, 2022. Jeff was born on July 5, 1960 to Wilmont and Dorothy (Blewitt) in Oakwood Village. Jeff was predeceased by both parents and brother Monte. He is survived by his sister Susan (Bill Predovich), wife Donna (Rusniaczyk), stepson Rob (Callahan), daughter Jennifer (Chris Hebebrand) and son Scott. Jeff has many grandchildren, nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren Elijah and Addisyn. Jeff was a member of the Timko Bar family and enjoyed watching many NASCAR races there. The family will be holding a benefit dinner on Sunday May 8th from 1-4 during a race at the Timko bar. Donations for such will aid in the expense of his funeral arrangements.

On April 5, 2022, Deborah (Debbie) English Ames went peacefully home to her Lord. Debbie was filled with grace, loved God, had a servant’s heart, and giving spirit. Brandon J. Herbert, 24, passed away peacefully on 3/15/22. He was born 4/3/1997, and is survived by his parents, Jeff Herbert and Erica Stephenson(Johnnie); his brothers Austin and Jared; sister Marissa; his grandmother, Peggy; grandfather, Glenn(Brenda); and his great grandfather, Tom(Claudia).
